NEED SOME ANSWERS

OK HERE WE GO..LITTLE BIT OF BACK GROUND INFO I HAVE BEEN IN THE NAVY FOR ALMOST 4 YEARS NOW. I HURT MY BACK IN FALL OF 2011 PUSHED THROUGH DEPOLYMENT BLAH BLAH WENT TO IDC COUNTLESS TIMES FOR THE ISSUE THERE ANSWER WAS MOBIC. I DID THAT FOR A WHILE TILL I COILDNT GO. WENT TO ORTHO THEY SENT ME TO PAIN MANGMENT DID A FEW SHOTS 2 RFAs FOLLOW UP WITH ORTHO..TIME PASSED:(12 MONTHS) PUT ON 1ST LIMDU. ORTHO SENT ME TO SPINE SURGERY MEAN TIME MY CONTRACT IS ABOUT TO END. 01FEB14 LIMDU EXTENDED TO MARCH30. SURGERY IS FEB20. SO MY QUESTIONS ARE IS THERE SOMETHING I CAN DO B/C MY CONTACT IS ABOUT TO EXPIRE 04APR14.
WITH THIS SURGERY HAPPENING SO CLOSE TO MY END OF CONTRACT.IS THERE SOMETHING THAT CAN HAPPEN I.E MED EXTENDED SO I CAN RECOVER PAST EOAS OR PUT IN FOR PEB WITH THIS SHORT AMOUNT TIME AND NO TIME ON CONTRACT. IM LOOKING FOR SOME TYPE OF HELP.
 
Ok, first off wow at the wall of text, but I understand frustration, so lets press on.

They will not extend you for recovery, if you want that, extend now or reenlist, if they will not let you do either and are otherwise eligible (no failed pt test good reports, etc etc) then they SHOULD meb you. you will be required a separation exam, which may initiate an MEB if your condition is severe enough etc. but useally unless there is something major, they just dump you into the VA system and be done.

If your just wanting to get out, then the VA will compensate you for your back, and treat you for life on any service connected complaint. if you want to stay in or believe your should be MEB'd get with your patient advocate/OMSBUDSMAN and see what your options are.
 
thanks for the reply. my biggest thing is that what if after my surgery im not ready to seperate far as recovery process etc. i just want to make sure that im good enough to seperate b/c i know how long the va process takes.. far as the patient advocate would they be able to help with this problem?
