Hello,

I have been going through the process since March 11th 2020 is when I got recommended and P3 profile.

I don’t have the exact timeline of everything like a lot of you do as I was only talking to my PEBLO over the phone with covid here in Germany. However I did sign my NARSUM Dec 14th 2020. And the VA sent me my proposal ratings on Jan 10th 2021. I am told I am waiting on a signature to release my ratings from the Army but no idea of a timeline when that is suppose to happen. Hoping someone on here could shed some light on it, as well as help me be better informed on what all I should be tracking and the best way to keep up with it all.

Thank you in advance for any insight or help.

Hello,

As someone who went through the steps you went through but in 2018. The step your currently on seemed like the longest time. At least that is how it felt with the Navy side. I cant speak for the army side and how they do things but from my experience with other service members. Its a matter of waiting. Once the Army has it and agrees they will then send it to the med board and peblo where you will receive a call from your peblo. You will then go in and read what they accepted or did not accept as it pertains to what the army med board is medboarding you on. You will either accept or not accept your ratings. If you dont accept which you have the right to and appear before the board to either change the out come or appeal to other issues you may not have liked. But its a waiting game for now.

Yea the PEBLO told me 2 weeks but that was almost 6 weeks ago. My unit is getting angry with me though because I am holding up a spot for incoming soldiers. But I try to explain that it isn’t on me and I want to leave as bad as they want me to be gone. They are starting to punish me for being stuck here it feels. I have a 24hr shift every weekend and keep getting told to cancel my appointments. As well as they told me I have to sell my leave and I can’t use it for terminal when I do get orders finally to ETS. I have almost 90 days of leave currently. So hopefully this nightmare will be over soon.

Wow im sorry. Sounds like a shitty command. If you have required medical appt due to your issues they are not allowed to tell you to cancel them. You can use any days you have left towards your terminal leave. I would contact legal with any questions so your command can not screw you over. Yes, you are right its not your fault you are in the waiting phase. Its up to the army not your command. Or coc. If you have any issues still i would seek out your senior enlisted for your command or base

So I signed my 199 on 9 Feb. She told me I will need to do my DA 31 for Terminal leave, as well as get a counseling by my commander. Will I need both of these items complete before I can get orders? I know I'll need the DA 31 in order to get clearing papers, but not sure about the orders part. Reason I am asking is I just found on my commander is going to get surgery himself on Tuesday next week and will be out for 2 weeks. I asked if someone would assume command while he is gone and they said yes but they will be gone to the field for the entire two weeks. So if I need the memo to get orders cut then I will have to wait at least 2+ more weeks for that portion alone. But if I can get order before hand I can at least schedule house hold goods, and such since I am currently in germany and would like to ship my stuff back state-side as fast as possible.

Thanks for any insight. I'm learning more on here about this whole process than I did from my PEBLO over the past 11 months...
