So my NARSUM has finally been started and the BH portion was farmed out to Fort Liberty. The Doctor called with questions about gaps in my treatment which I explained was most likely due to me being TRICARE Remote and seeing a civilian specialist and not going through a MTF. Conversation went well and she asked a few more questions, but yesterday I noticed that a new P3 profile was inputted the day of our call with my profile condition changing from PTSD to BH Condition other. Any thoughts on why this would happen or if it means anything at all? Why change an already permeant profile? Tanks!

PTSD and BH all are grouped together for VA mental health so I wouldn't be worried. Make sure to send all of your civilian records to them so they have enough information to write the NARSUM. Ultimately the VA is the one that will rate everything and its based on severity of symptoms. Read up on that by googling it.

Lastly, why change it answer: PTSD is a different diagnosis than for example depression and anxiety. After reviewing all the records they probably changed the referral condition and so they needed to update it on your P3. It doesn't matter though because like I said earlier the VA combines all mental health into one rating. The iPEB will decide if unfit or not but he VA provides the rating for the condition and if unfitting that % is used for your DOD%.

Makes since, was just wondering because I have a diagnosis of PTSD and my DBQ has the deficiencies in most areas block checked (the perceived 70% block). Just thought it was weird that they felt the need to change the terminology. Thanks for the reply.
