Peb accepted 6 June

There was another DoN person that had their VA stuff sent on July 27th, and he got his findings on August 24th, so I think you really aren’t that far behind. Like could be any day now.
Sounds good this definitely helps with the little hope I have left lol

I got some good advice on this, I accepted a hybrid job offer that starts in the Fall, and will just start using my leave at that point to do both, or, I already talked to them about a start “range” in case things slide right.
Sounds like they know how to be flexible and understand the inconsistencies in life like thus process. I’m applying to part times or a full time till I’m enrolled in the electrician apprentice. Usually there’s a long line to get in but veterans with DD-214 get ahead of that line.

This is what I got I was never told I was unfit by peblo but I guess I am according to this letter call the Va 1 800 number and asked for your proposed ratings.

I got my proposed ratings back in early August. I'm still waiting for the PEB to finalize and send everything to my PEBLO

@ericasue87 i presume we are both unfit then, about 90% of people it seems they got their unfit within in 3 weeks it’s going on 4 months for me. We must have shitty PEBLOS.

@ericasue87 We have been found unfit check this website out. It states
Step 6: VA Rating. Once the IPEB determines which conditions make the service member Unfit for Duty, they send their decision to the VA. There must be at least one unfitting condition for the case to continue. If none of the conditions are unfitting, then the service member is returned to duty, and the Integrated Disability Evaluation System process ends.

If the case is forwarded to the VA, then the VA assigns a Military Disability Rating to every service-connectedcondition the service member has. The VA is the official Rating Authority for both VA Disability and DoD Disability. If we have ratings we were found unfit. The Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES) • Military Disability Made Easy

My peblo told me he wouldn’t contact me until he receives findings from VA/PEB. I understand that they have a lot of sailors and marines they have to call and keep track of. One time I went to his office he gave me another marines findings to sign on accident. Anyways I do know my referred condition was rated by the VA at 0% unfortunately it’s a condition that they rated service connected but non compensated. I want to fight this but once I’m out since the wait is so long to appeal lol.

That’s weird lol. May I ask what you were referred for mine was for epilepsy. PEBLOS are useless they push paper some are good and some are bad. Since you were found unfit you are owed severance by the DOD.

My referred condition was labeled as syncope (transient alteration of awareness). Syncope does not have its own rating instead it’s rated under seizures. I don’t have seizures with my episodes but I do have blackouts. I didn’t experience these conditions till after Covid vaccines. I am glad that I will still get severance pay but I still feel robbed by the VA. I have a buddy same exact condition and symptoms with 20% so definitely going to fight it along with IBS.

Me to man. After the vaccine I started having seizures. Fight it with the VA you’ll get what you are looking for.

Thanks I will continue the fight once I’m out if you don’t mind me asking what did the VA rate your referred condition or epilepsy?

They rated me 100% for my epilepsy. I’m guessing I was found unfit since the Dod asked the VA for ratings. I’m crossing my fingers 100% would be great.

Severance will be around 20,000 for you so that’s not bad with somebody getting out of the service.

Wow the epilepsy you have must be severe I hope things get better for you!! And yea I’m at 3.5 years in the service rn. Not very long but we all have different a fate.

Thank you I appreciate it! Definitely were you told you’d be found unfit?
