What happens if the peb finds me fit for duty? Do they offer me a new job? Or I just go back to my same job? Do I get special orders not to deploy? I’m a cook with seafood allergy that’s why I’m on medboard.
If they find you fit they put you back in the same job with no restrictions. They can and will remove your profile. I HIGHLY doubt you will be found fit. What happens if the peb finds me fit for duty? That is what we call an exception. I wouldn't count on it.I was just confused because I was getting told that the peb will just cross rate me. I know my lawyer said the peb can’t cross rate that’s not there job. My career counselor got found fit and they put here on permanent shore duty. She said all the people she saw found fit get put on permanent shore duty. Is that tdrl?
They won't. The 2 things leadership does well in the military is Mission First & Cover Your ButtOk. I just don’t wanna be found fit and have to go back to the galley and be around fish. Kinda scared they are gonna say fit and just tell me to carry and epi pen around just encase my throat closed up. I’m allergic to seafood and shouldn’t be anywhere around it and it shouldn’t even have to get to the point of anaphylaxis. The va doctor wrote in the notes he is a cook with seafood allergy he cannot be a cs. It will be embarrassing if I have to go up to Washington and begged the peb to not put in the galley to be around fish because I’m allergic to it.
They won't take that chance. It would end careers. An Epi Pen isn't guaranteed to work. You are a walking liability in the military.
