I am currently a type 2 diabetic and have a torn mainscus in my left knee have a p2 for my knee and have a p3 for my diabetes. The diabetes went from being a temp to a perm in less than a month. The Colonel that signed off it has never seen me or screened me just the PA that works in the Regimental Aid Station. I am currently in ALC which the PA said that I would not pass which i am about to graduate but over the last couple of days found out about a pending MEB. I have no idea what I need to do prepare for it and what to expect. I found out roughly a year ago about being a diabetic and had to change medicine from metformin in March of this year to Genuvia. I took my A1C in May of this year and it was a 7.7 and before i came to this school it was checked again and it was a 7.0. Here's the thing I am in standards so I thought but now I am being told that my levels have to be at 7.0 or lower off the medication. This makes no sense to me because the last I heard Diabetes is a disease and has no cure but can be MANAGED with good diet and exercise. I feel like I am being jerked around here and I want to know what course of actions to take to prepare for this. Any help would be appreciated.
