So I’ve been in the Navy for two years now and I found out in June/July that I have Factor V Leiden after having a blood clot in my right calf. It’s more than likely on my dad’s side of the family (I also have a twin brother who has it, as well and he had a DVT and PE on separate years). It rose a red flag because I’m also 28 years old. I’m actually interested in getting out and I’m wondering how it would work out if I wanted to add the genetic blood disorder, depression, and obstructive sleep apnea to my claim. I also just started the MEB process and have to meet with my PEBLO tomorrow.

Here’s a quick look at how everything has been going on so far:

02APR22 - DVT in right lower leg
13APR22 - Hematology appt for blood work
20APR22 - Placed on LIMDU
27JUN22 - Hematology appt for more blood work
11JUL22 - Hematology follow up to blood work
11JUL22 - MEB referral put in
27JUL22 - MEB referral put back in because it didn’t show up initially
29JUL22 - Call to bring in Records to PEBLO
01AUG22 - Appt with PEBLO

When did the PEBLO contracted you for the first time? Was that in MEB or PEB process?

The PEBLO contacted me on August 8th. Since then I haven’t gotten an MSC or gotten appointments yet

Oh gosh, I would try and reach out to them again. I got my MSC and appts scheduled within a couple days of my IDES brief being completed.
