Hello all,
AD NAVY 10 years in. I have been seen on and off over the past 4 years for mental health and Gastro issues. My diagnoses are Chronic Gerd, Severe Internal Hemroids, IBS, PTSD, Depression, Generalized Anxiety (all civilian doctor diagnosed). For all of those listed conditions I have been seeking treatment and taking meds. I am on Zoloft for anxiety and depression, Prazosin for PTSD nightmares. I have been seeing therapy weekly to bi-weekly for treatment with civillian doctors.

So, I have an appointment with my PCM next week, she mentioned weeks ago about starting LIMDU or just initiating an MEB since there has been no progress and I have been LLD for 3 months due to the hemroid bleeds. My question is, what is the likelihood I am found unfit for the above listed conditions and hope for 30% DoD minimum. I am a career counselor and my conditions especially the combination of the PTSD/Depression/Anxiety and GI makes it so hard for me to perform my job, I even was fully waived from the fitness test due to the rectal bleeding. Thanks in advance, just looking for positive feedback and what to expect moving forward.

Navy leans fit. If you end up in a full MEB I would hire a private attorney. Until then I would continue to seek treatment for all of your conditions. As for DOD ratings you can compare your symptoms for a potential unfitting condition to the VA ratings to get an idea. The DOD% must match the VA ratings for the unfitting condition in IDES.

With the Navy leaning fit, I am curious what my chances are for being found unfit in this process. I have significant documentation and treatment for the Mental Health and GI conditions. Based off the VA ratings and their symptoms/effects on QoL required- I meet the 30%-50% for all of the conditions diagnosed. I have been consistently seeing a civilian Psychiatrist who has now upped my medications twice, and moving forward with a new PTSD medication because Prazosin was not effective.
