Ratings

So my PUEBLO just emailed me saying this.

RD dated 12/21/20 proposed 90% S/C $2044.18 monthly compensation for married veteran. Rating decision and Benefit Estimate Letter is

This is a rough estimate from the VA. Once we have the DOD rating, we will have a complete rating from the VA.

So my question is i know this is proposed but will my 1 claim that im up for board for be added to the 90% not.

You would need to know the break down of that 90%. It would tell you what they rated and what percentage they rated each thing. Your DA 199 will show you that if you don't get that info from the VA or PEBLO.

Once the IPEB is done, they will complete the DA 199 and your PEBLO will send it to you to review and make your selections. Mine was completed about 3 days after I was informed that my IPEB was complete.

Your MEB was based off of (initiated) from the condition/s that were unfitting, non retainable. It should be included. One can look at it this way, it’s probably has the highest rating in your proposed VA rating.

That is not always the case. I have seen plenty of people get 10/20/30% DoD and 100% VA. You can look on https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg...l/CFR-2011-title38-vol1-part4.xml#seqnum4.71a

Find your conditions and take a guess at how they were rated. Or wait until you get the DA199 with the breakdown. You will then have the option of appealing the PEB to get more unfitting conditions added, and/or requesting a VARR to get your unfitting condition/s rated higher.

I’m not following you, the OP was asking if the 1st claim will be added to the VA proposed rating. I was commenting that the 1st claim most likely is/ was what initiated the MEB. It should be included in the proposed VA rating (all disabilities rating)

I was simply commenting on your statement, "One can look at it this way, it's probably has the highest rating in your proposed VA rating". It is not always the case that a referred condition is the highest rating.

I understand. We need more details to provide the best answer.
