Retro Pay

Hello all. I was recently approved for CRSC. They have retro pay from the date the application was approved by my branch (which was several months). My question: Is retro pay supposed to go back up to 6 years (Retirement and VA were about 7 years ago) Or only from the date of the application approval from branch? My VA rating is all connected to the hazardous duty event.

a) Effective date of VA-rated condition or b) signing of a law making a condition Presumptive (i.e., PACT Act is effective August 2022), whichever is more recent

doesn't it also goes back to Retirement date too?

VA effective date too....whichever is later

It can, but the effective date is usually (best case scenario) the day after retirement, which is the effective date of the VA rating, hence why I stated that. The exception is in the case of those who were already rated, i.e., reserve compos, who subsequently went through LDES instead of IDES (thus preserving their original VA rating). In those cases, it would be as you stated, the retirement date, but those are a rarity, imho, consisting of maybe 5-10% of all Ch 61 retirements.
