The VA Ratings went from 140 days to 163 days overnight. This is supposed to be a 90 rolling average, so I would say that it is nearly impossible for the average to change that significantly in a one day shift.
So instead of keeping us in the dark, they will just provide us with arbitrary numbers to frustrate us!!!! Maybe it's the same people that built healthcare.gov
What's really funny, is I am further ahead of schedule because the average time has increased. Chew on that logic!!
Imagine if the schedule was the one actual in the policy and then they showed if we were ahead or behind.
I just spoke with my PEBLO and she said that she looked in the system again today and that my packet hadn't been touched. She has emailed her supervisor (supposedly last week when we spoke) and they are supposed to be taking it up the chain. How much of this makes sense or is untrue? Does this sound like the same ole BS to yall or does this sound like someone actually trying to do something and how much can actually be done?

I emailed my PEBLO to ask if she could see if my packet had been assigned to anyone at VA and she said she wasn't able to see things like that. All she said she could see was that they received my packet. It seems like yours is able to see things mine can't. Is yours on JBLM?

Ask your PEBLO's if they can see the VA's Internal Date. This date sends an automated message to the person working your file. If your case is complete, that's the release date that it goes to the PEB - if it's complete. If the PEBLO can't see it, call 1800VA. If you get the date, you have to wait a day or two after the date and call back to see if it was released.
There's a lot of information out there that our phone friends are trained to not give out. More information leads to more questions and they would get blown out. That always leads me to constantly ask the obvious: Why can't we have our own information, all at once, all updated? My theory is that VA's information database cannot hold that much information, cannot handle giving access to so many people, doesn't "shake hands" well with other systems. They are trying as we have seen on the new IDES info splash.
They are trying.
Be kind when talking to the VA folks. You'll get a lot better response. They just give information that they can.
For those of you still waiting. The IDES dashboard seems to be pretty accurate at least for my timeline since it seems like they updated since I first saw it yesterday. Yesterday it showed me still waiting for proposed ratings. Today it has updated showing my current status of transitional leave. It took me 218 days to get my proposed ratings. Hopefully none of you will have to wait that long. Now for those you still waiting hopefully this will end up being a better system than the old My MEB/PEB. That was a joke. Maybe with any luck this will keep more people's eyes on it and speed things up on the VA's end. The VA and the initial referral are the only things I went over on time wise. Hopefully those of you that have been waiting for a while will have ratings soon and you can start your post Army lives.
Update:
So I have this obsessive compulsive habit of looking at ebenefits like 3 times a day now since it went to prep for decision. It just moved to pending decision approval. I'm crossing my fingers. At least there has been movement.
10/25 - Preparation for Decision
7/22 - VA receives memo
7/19 - Unfit Memo

Don't worry, I check mine at least twice a day, usually more. I know it won't say anything, but if I don't check, I won't know that it says the same thing, lol.
So I recieved my Unfit memo on 1 July, 2013 and am still waiting on raitings. On the ebenfits site, it has been stuck on review of evidence for 122 days now. THis is frustrating to me especially when I see people who recieved their unfit memo almost 20 or more days after mine and are already ahead of me. I do not understand this at all. Can anyone enlighten me???

I check mine two to three times a day myself. It went to prep for decision on 10/22. Day 400 today and counting for me.... I swear if I hit 500 days I'm going to lose my mind. After approval for a VAR I've kind of been stuck in a black hole with little to no updates on my case.
Glad for you all! My MEB attorney stated today that we don't need to have a memo or any type of dispute to accompany it. However the form states which indicates they expect "something". Being as I was found presumptively fit ....
so I have to find a way to defeat that argument! But glad to hear so many others are doing well.
I was in the WTU, Fort Belvoir, VA - US Army Retired 29 JUN 2013.
Does anybody have the wait time for your "Final VA Rating" from VA in Seattle? 4 Months have past since I have retired and nothing in ebenefits or the mail?
FYI - If you are in the WTU - Upon retirement your PEBLO sends your DD214 to your VA Rep. VA Seattle will not start your Final VA Processing until they receive your DD214. Some times they lose your DD214 or don't receive it. Also, they may have questions and need additonal information inorder to give you a "Final VA Rating". I recommend everyone go to their nearest VA Regional Office and have them send your DD214 to VA in Seattle for processing your Final Rating, if you are not sure it was sent to them by your VA Rep or your PEBLO.
Again, your Final VA Rating starts once you get off terminal leave and you have a retirement date. Your final rating may change because you only get a "purposed rating" while in the IDES. I have not heard from anyone if their rating has changed from their Purposed to their Final, but the process does have me worried.
My Retirement date: 29 JUN 2013 still waiting on my "Final" VA Rating from VA in Seattle. 4 Months have past and nothing has showed up on ebenefits or in the mail as to my Final VA Rating. The VA has nothing on me so they are billing me for my visits. The VA Advocate says this is common and once I do get my rating to bring it to them and the VA will reimburse me or pay the bills. So, Keep track of your VA visits and hospital bills for medication.
