So why do some cases take so much longer to rate than others and then after that insanely long rating process from the VA is done, it takes the PEB almost a month to produce a 199?? I've been very patient but this is putting my meds to the absolute test!!!

I sign my 199 next Tuesday since I'm on leave all week this week

All right, good deal! Congratulations! :)

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Well, at least it's very good to hear that you are maintaining your prescription medication regime! ;)

That said, keep up the outstanding work! :D

Finally moved to prep for decision on my final ratings with a estimated completion date between August 17 and September 15
Good deal! Congratulations! :)

Thanx
Based upon the information from other PEB Forum members on this specific topic, I have gathered that receipt of official military separation/retirement orders can potentially take an approximate duration between 2 days and 14 days, or potentially even a longer duration of time; there are not any guarantees on the actual receipt.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Ok so just talked to my peblo. I have been waiting on ratings for a little over 60 days. I am aware that is not that long but today I was informed I won't see anything for another 250 to 300 days. Does this seem right? Is there anything I can do? I was going to do a congressional at the 150 day mark but was also told this would not do anything. 360 days seems a bit ridiculous considering I am being discharged for 1 condition not multiple.

Who is validating the contents of the statement "I won't see anything for another 250 to 300 days;" the PEBLO and/or the MSC and/or whom?

To that extent, the aforementioned statement seems too extended of a timeline for receipt of DoVA D-RAS ratings given that certain processes have been implemented by the DoVA in order to potentially decrease the current backlog of DoVA claims.

That said, remember that military personnel and the Department of Veterans Affairs' Compensation & Pension Benefits Program are currently exempt from DoD furlough sequestration cuts.

In reference to the submittal of a congressional, if it's your intent to complete one at the 150 day mark, please keep in mind that your await time for DoVA D-RAS ratings could potentially become extended even more due to the specific processing and handling of a congressional.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Ok, so after being in gathering of evidence since August I jumped to preparation for decision approval this week. PEBLO & DAV could see ratings were present but could not view what they were.

Today I went back to gathering of evidence...is this normal or do they need more info?

PEBLO is buried in workload and DAV rep is on vacation so thought I would ask here.

Thanks

Yes that is a good thing, that means your ratings are done and were sent back to the PEB, mine did the exact same thing...

Like jwbad also said, mine did the same thing. A day later I asked my peblo and she told me that my ratings were at the PEB and my 199 was being written

Well after 174 days of waiting it looks like my wait may just be over. My PEBLO called me this morning and told me that my 199 was in and to come in tomorrow morning to view them.

Congrats man. Hopefully itll be what you expected and you can get on with life soon.

I hope so too man. That's why I said "my wait may be over" because after making me wait one week shy of 7 months for a rating I would hope the VA would not attempt to low ball me and prolong my stay here on Ft. Bragg by making me appeal

If the DoD proposed rating (with TDRL determination or PDRL determination) and DoVA proposed ratings are not within your expectations, do you intend to demand a formal PEB via the election of options on the DA Form 199?

I don't know if I'll appeal based on Tdrl/pdrl but will if my overall rating is below what I feel as if I should be awarded

Outstanding; good deal! :)

Nonetheless, never default acceptance to potential injustice while championing for well-earned and well-deserve military disability compensation to include future military healthcare benefits after separation/retirement. ;)
