From what I've gathered different PEBLOs can see different things. Some folks on here have PEBLOs who can apparently talk to Jesus. Others, like mine, can barely see their hand in front of their face. Get a VSO rep- they'll be far more help than your PEBLO.

ahah, yeah seems like we have the same kind of PEBLO. I will have to look into a VSO rep. But i do not know what this means. Sorry No one really keeps us informed of all this information. I herd of DAV from this site and other people like this that can help but nothing like this comes from my WTU or my PEBLO. Thanks for the reply.

Been looking around this site for a long time for answers to alot of questions most of which were answered. Thanks alot for that btw... My only question is the Seattle Regional office. I keep hearing its been taking less and less days to get a claim processed. Being that i have only 2 unfitting conditions, should it not take a less amount of time? my claim was received by the Va in july i was found unfit sept. I ask my peblo if she has any information about my claim. my peblo says that she does not have any news. And they she can not see anything. I just want to know what the peblo can actualy see and what they cant see. Is it something that they just get when my ratings are done and i can come view them or can they see where and if my claim has been moving along or not. Because so far she wont tell me anything... Thanks.
my unfit memo was forwarded 15 July and my PEBLO told me yesterday that she can't see any movement. I'm wondering who can tell me something...

My PEBLO definitely cannot see Jesus, maybe Jesus from Mexico City? My great response from my PEBLO is always "nothing new"! He has been saying that for about a year and a half now. I just emailed the DAV in Seattle, since they are my designated power of attorney, however I am sure that they are overtaxed with questions. The only information that I have been able to ascertain was from a V.A. customer service person. She told me that the Seattle V.A. was averaging 15 months for claims? Although she said IDES claims were different, so I don't know if it's longer or shorter.

My PEBLO told me on Monday that they were told that the Seattle VA was at 167 days for rating for IDES claims after the shutdown.

I always just call my DAV rep in Seattle and even though she is always in a rush, she gives me pretty good answers.

Im going to be honest. started looking on this site from the beginning of my MEB(Mar) and I recently became a member. based off what I saw about the PEBLOs I didn't trust their abilities. I contacted my PEBLO back in July (3 months after signing the narsum) and He had nothing and I didn't expect him to. I know people would call their PEBLOs every week for an update but that in my opinion that is making worse on people. In a 6 month timeframe I only talked to my PEBLO 3x and that was because I called. When I finally called the DAV back in Sep they were able to give me a wealth of info I didn't even know they could give me. The DAV was able to give me ratings and somewhat of timelines on my claim. When I called my PEBLO (this was the third time) he looked into some system and said they haven't even rated me yet. A couple of weeks later my ebenefits went to complete. I believe most PEBLOs do just enough to keep their jobs. I bet they feel that if you or them are able to get info from outside the MEB/PEBLO system then it doesn't justify them having a job. How would you feel if someone could skip over you to someone else for info that they are suppose get for you lol hahaha. Thats probably why most of them don't tell people about VSOs. I probably would say stay away from them and that they are only good for after service. (Think some of them will get a little offended by you going to a VSO. This is just my opinion guys. Nothing against anyone's PEBLO. I know some do go above an beyond.

Welcome to the PEB Forum! :)

Hmm, just out of curiosity, what's the total number of DoVA claimed conditions from your DoD IDES case file in addition to your two PEB-referred unfitting conditions which were submitted to the DoVA D-RAS in September 2013?

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

I have a total of 5 conditions if i am not mistaken. But the 3 that are "fit" are a form of hair loss due to stress, vitamin D deficiency, and wort on my finger. which its is not any of which are complected.

thus being the reason i was wondering. why it would take so long. Friends of mine got here a month or two before me had a list upon list of things he claimed one of which was PTSD, And just signed his 199. Awating orders.

Thanks

I just called the MSC here at Fort Gordon and she told me that they had a conference call the day after the shutdown ended. To summarize their conference call she stated that the Seattle office was working cases with unfit memos in May. Does anyone know anything different?

Jersey, I think you may be a little confused on your timeline. Being that the VA received your claim back in July means that you met with your MSC back in July and sent the info and medical records to the VA and your case was assigned to a regional office. Since you were found unfit in September the VA will start looking at your case at any time for the preliminary rating phase. You still have time yet before any ratings comes back.

Looks like my ebenefits changed to Preparation for Decision.
My unfit memo is dated 19 July.

Crossing my fingers that all the i's are dotted and t's crossed and they bless off on it quickly. I've been calling everyone and anyone to get more info, but not a lot of luck. My MSC said she couldn't see anything in her system. I'm waiting to hear back from my PEBLO, DAV and one other from the VA.

I may even punish myself and attempt to call the 800 number on Monday.

Just looking at recent movement on this forum people have moved pretty quick. However, I have also seen older cases linger.

Indeed, unfortunately, sometimes it seems like the luck of the draw but the DoVA D-RAS does have a systematic processing approach in place for sure.

Indeed, give the 1-800# a ring; you may be pleasantly surprised of the feedback.

To that extent, there isn't anything to lose but potentially something to gain in my opinion.

That is great! Hoping you get some papers in your hands to review and sign in a bit.

I check myMEB/PEB on AKO every day, just as part of my routine and scroll down from there to check my EBenefits. The site changed and I have placed what I have on here. The information given on the re-vamped site is not what I am personally tracking as far as the VA wait time goes, in fact it is almost detrimental to my mental health...
I posted this here because I didn't know where else to put it.
Any input from the masses?

I hope all goes well for you (and quickly). That said, I have never put any stock into e-benefits (or any timelines published by any branch- there are so many variations in individual cases, and ways for them to manipulate the timelines, that I don't think there is much to be learned from any published/official "averages." As a further aside, I would like to know "mean" time, and distribution on a curve of cases...that would really open some eyes, I think). All I can say is that it takes as long as it takes...kinda like asking, how long is a string.

Mine says 231 days as well, which tells me that it is wrong, unless we coincidentally have the same dates, which I doubt we do. I bet there are other people with "231 days" as well.

I also have 231 days on my "IDES dashboard", however another soldier here just got his unfit memo 10 Oct and his says 400 some odd days

Hmm, it seems that I have potentially confused the new "My IDES Dashboard" database! The information is sporadic and mostly inaccurate as based upon the previous "MyMEB/PEB" database.

To that extent, my "days remaining" field states "0" with the "current step" showing "N/A" while I am still awaiting formal PEB hearing disposition from the USAPDA NCRPEB; interesting indeed...are they trying to tell me something?

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

This new format is strange, mine says 205 days and I have already received my DA 199 and awaiting orders to retire.

Indeed, strange to say the least, hmm!

To that extent, yours list 205 days remaining while awaiting military retirement orders and my list 0 days remaining while awaiting disposition (e.g., 40 days and counting) from the USAPDA NCRPEB.
