What does a congressional do? Would like to consider this route since I'm at 100 now. At 120 that's when I plan to take some sort of action since my PEBLO said that it takes up to 120 days. So at day 121 I'm going to do something...perhaps this is what I should try?
You contact your Congressman, they can do an inquiry on behalf of Congress into any government agency. It gets a lot of eyes on whats going on in your particular case.

Well, I guess that is the only good thing...... I'm not alone. I am going to take your advice about using my congressman and see if that can shed some light, thanks.

I don't want to look like an impatient douchebag, but the second I go a day over the guideline policy (120 days) i'm doing it!

Hopefully I dont have to wait two more months to here anything I am already losing my mind but if I do Ill join in the congressional complaints.

Well I guess Iam not alone in this route with VA at Seattle regional office . My claim has been with this office since September last year and is has been going back and foward from phase gathering evidence and preparetion for decision. Is just driving crazy all this waiting and they haven't reach to propose rating yet. I have use my congressman from my state mant times and still nothing chage.Today I recieved a letterfrom this office stating that they working in my claim and they're back logged even said fir me to be patient and wait. How much longer they want me to wait, my conditions are getting worse not better I don't know wha

You've been waiting for ratings since September and your IDES? I know some people have been caught up in the backlog and have to wait but there is really something wrong here.. I'm hoping for your sake your claim was opened then and that is not when you got your unfit memo sent there.

My meb started back in June last year and I receive my unfit memo on August last year and was sent to the PEB then the PEB foward it to VA Sept. 11 last year and has been sice then

I would be talking to your ombudsman, legal, congressman..etc. I'm sure you might have already and I'm also sure none of that would solve anything but that is ridiculous at least in my eyes.... but to add to that it does take the VA quite some time from the date they received your claim.. since your MEB seemed to move fast then that could be why.

Well bad news. Talked to peblo and she said it will at least be another 60-90 days for anything. Guess the va is backed up over 800 cases. Well guess my job and house are not going to happen. Can't do nothing at this point. Guess ill go back to just sitting at home everyday bc I can't do my job. If it is another 60 days that means it will take 120+ days just for ratings!

I totally understand. Im at 120 days since unfit memo was sent up and I was told on Friday that my packet went to the rating board on 6 Mar. But to hear that I have to wait another 60-90 days is disheartening. I started my MEB in August. I bought a house in Oct and if my husband didn't have a great job rent plus mortgage would be killing us. But it's money that could be spent on other things such as paying off our vehicles. I hope things pick up for all of us.

So I just noticed on ebenefits that it still says "Gathering of evidence", however in the "updates" column it added "New Evidence Received" and "Development Letter Sent"... ???

I think thats just "courtesy" letters they say they send out, but ive rarely ever heard of anyone that actually receives the letter. What kind of evidence were they waiting on? Ive stopped looking on ebenefits.. Just disappoints me every time. Im going to wait awhile and hopefully one day I look and it says something different.

Mine has said that Since I started meb.

As of today, I am 58 day in PEB awaiting DoVA ratings and 181 total days within the DoD IDES MEB/PEB process. :(

Best Wishes!

Well for me since my MEB started it's been 235 days and 133 days as part of the PEB process. 97 days since the VA received my packet. If that makes anyone feel any better.

They say it takes 295 days for the entire IDES to be completed, so we'll see. 60 more days! psych..lol

Day 40 as of today waiting for the return of my VA ratings that were sent to Seattle, WA. I am hoping in one one hand and shitting in the other and waiting to see which one will fill up first to see just how this process will go for me...... I have a very strong feeling that I will need a few more hands before this process is done for me. I have hope though two others are going through the IDES here at my unit and they seem to have gotten their rating back fairly fast. They seem to have all the items and one of them is on terminal leave as we speak. One of them had to do a congressional and IG complaint on the Ft. Gordon MEB section and his stuff seemed to have all of a sudden sped through and he is finally out....Hoping that is not what I have to do to make this happen for me but if I do I will definately post on here.

Wow! No, since that's what I potentially have to look forward to while in the DoD IDES MEB/PEB process. :(

Best Wishes!

My initial MEB started 719 days ago...but after things finally got straightened out and it started over (yeah, talk about suck), it has now been 322 since MEB was initiated. I'm literally driving myself insane. I sit here and check ebenefits like 10 times a day. It's a sickness. And I tell myself I wont check it anymore, but then sure enough I go to the gym or something and check it on my phone.

I just called the 800# to try and find out any info I could. I was told I am still in the development phase and the claim was started on the 30 Nov. I was also told that the Seattle Va is running about 11 months to complete claims so I asked if that was for the proposed ratings for IDES or for final ratings and he told me they dont separate them so he wasn't sure. I really hope I am not looking at another 6 months before I get my 199. I am hoping that the 11 months is for final ratings.

Appreciate the call and follow-on feedback to the members of PEB Forum, but this is horrible news; just horrible! :(
