I just had my appt with my PCM about my med board getting iniated and from what I understand he has to submit a Hardin to the LTC to get approved and then they send me back to the United States to a base closer to my home of record to start my med board. I'm currently overseas in Korea and he said they try to expedite the process over here. Anyone have any experience with this kind of situation? Will I be able to bring my family back while I am in the process of the med board?

I was in JApan with my wife when i was put on medboard. They PCSed us to san diego. I dont remember exactly since its been over a year since I was at that stage but it was fast, really fast. And when I got the orders I had 3 weeks to PCS. And Everyone else in my office (we were all on LIMDU) who got orders back to the states for medboard had 3-4 weeks from recieving orders to PCS. Are you out now? They told me I couldn't take leave enroute to my dry which doesn't make since cause I have family and need to find a place to live
yes, i got out last month. Yeah, it was the same for me, no leave because I had 3 weeks to check out and do everything. When got to San Diego, my command gave me 10 days of "house hunting" leave and let me take normal leave since I didn't get any transfer leave. But I had to explain it to them. "Hey i had 3 weeks to get here from overseas and I wasnt allowed to take leave"Are you out now? They told me I couldn't take leave enroute to my dry which doesn't make since cause I have family and need to find a place to live
yea idk when they do that shit. Doesn't make sense to me at all. Hopefully I can get out of here in a month. Just waiting to hear back from air evac and get confirmation on the base I'm going to and get orders. I hope that doesn't take to long
