Severance Pay Timing

I have completed the MEB/PEB process. The Army put me at 20% disabled, unfit, separate with severance pay. My No Later Than date is 13 August. Anybody have an idea as to when I will get paid the severance? I need the money to put down on a house where I found a job in MD.

You can try calling the DFAS help line. 888-332-7411, and you'll have to go through an automated number pushing thing to get to speak to someone, but they should be able to tell you when your separation pay is scheduled to arrive.
 
Thanks for the tip, I called the number and was told that all transition pays are payed 20 days after my separation date. That include severance pay and sold leave.
 
Thanks for the info. I plan on selling back some leave, so now I know when it should arrive in my account. That's reassuring. :)
