Was medically separated Aug 18, 2025. Still have yet to receive my severance pay. Is this normal?

Yes very normal. You can ask DFAS the status if you want via phone call. Their is a special division that processes unique one time pay stuff like this. Same thing happens for CRSC approvals for the backpay.

Also one tidbit of info. The higher the amount the longer it takes. There are several levels of approval needed the higher the amount it. So think of it as this way... If you had 20k coming via severance, you would get that amount processed sooner by DFAS than if your severance was 200k
