Shoulder Pain

The va does both of the ratings, va and dod, and once the va puts in an end date in the vta then your PEBLO can see what your ratings are

When the VA sends the stuff back to the PEB, then all they are doing is finalizing it and typing up the 199? What do you mean an end date in the VTA? What is the VTA?

Yes, and the vta is the system the peblos have access to for va stuff (from my understanding) when the end date for preliminary ratings is filled in then the percentages are added as well...my PEBLO showed me this on her computer I can't really explain it lol...get with ur PEBLO, if the va are finished with your proposed ratings and its gone through qa side of va and they sent it back to the peb, you will be able to see the percentages in the vta

Your VA ratings that you recieve while in the IDES program are used to establish your military ratings for severance, TDRL, PDRL, etc.
This is called the "proposed" VA ratings.

Once you are discharged, the VA will finalize your VA claim and issue you another letter (document) with the "finalized" conditions and ratings.

In my case, I rec'd a VA "proposed" combined rating of 100% TDIU (unemployable). 70% military.
But my final VA rating came back 100% P&T (Permanent & Total - still employable). Plus, a couple of my issues that were initially rated at 0% are now under review for possible rating changes - pending further exams.

I am signing my 199. I found out that I am getting 10% Army and 30% VA. I am going to sign and get my severance pay. I am so excited.

So reading these above posts I am confused. They offer different types of ROM measurements and the VASRD doesn't reflect how they measure it. For example, I had a ROM test done at Physical Therapy and here is what he wrote down:

elevation- 80 deg
abduction- 70 deg
extension- 30 deg
internal rotation- L3
external rotation- 75 deg

Now what does all that mean?

I got my orders on January 9, 2013 and I final out on February 4th. I start my terminal leave February 5th. I am so excited about leaving Fort Riley.

Congratulations on getting an outcome you are satisfied with and leaving Ft. Riley. Hope all goes well with whatever comes next for you.

Not sure what you mean? If you only had one measurement from PT, it does not meet VA examination standards.

I've had more than one but this is how they write them up. I am not seen at a MTF

Thank you. I found out that there is only a couple of ways to leave Fort Riley. ETS, Retiring, MEB, or chapter. It is rare to PCS. Even if you PCS, down the road you will end up back here.
