Soto fought this since 2016. The services limited backpay citing barring act. All those CRSC websites need to remove references the 6 year limit and barring act now!

Soto along with Rudisill will down as legends.

Every CRSC recipient who got shorted retro pay over the BS and i appropriate application of Barring Act should file for reconsideration

It's about time the veterans get some support from up high. I hope and pray this is a more positive sign of good things to come for veterans...

Well they can remand but the ruling stands, is a class ruling, and set precedent. Barring Act cannot be applied.
Just means yeah like with Rudisil there will be some foot dragging, took the VA 8 months after Rudisill to start adhering to the ruling. They will likely have to identify and notify everyone who may have been shorted backpay, the class.
The VA is supposedly looking at everyone impacted by rudisill and notifying and issuing new certificates of eligibility. I didn’t wait and filed a HLR because they denied me post rudisill. They granted the HLR but then foot dragged the COA. I filed a congressional inquiry and got my COA. You are your own best advocate.

This is excellent news! And clearly the services, DOD were grasping for a means to save a buck and shortchange disabled combat vets. Salute to Soto and even more so NVLSP who pretty much took the reins , fought this since 2017 and brought home a huge victory.
