I got out a few months ago and I guess I should have started getting my disability from the VA buy now. But after going online and checking eBenefits it's asking me whether I'm receiving money from the military, which would explain $2,000 deposit I received a few weeks ago.
My VCO said the only way I'd receive retirement pay is if I was actually retired or if it was combat-related, which is neither.
I'm gonna call DFAS tomorrow but, this whole thing is frustrating.. Just glad I have a bit of savings and hopefully I sell my house soon so I can live off that for a bit while I figure things out.
Also, the VA sent me a letter saying they need records from three off base providers since the Peblo marked them as "missing" but I had already gotten my proposed rating and even the vco has been approved so I'm not sure if I should ignore this or try to contact those three providers to see if I can obtain any records
