TDRL Evaluation

I was retired January 19 2017 TDRL. I have my 18 month evaluation in March of 2018. I was MEB'd for injuries to my knee and anxiety/panic attacks. I just got back from my doctor at the VA who stated they will NOT do surgery for knee cap replacement because Im too young (28). I'm seeing a psychologist and chiropractor outside of the VA because my experience has been far better with civilian care. The SSRI's (depression meds) the Army docs/VA tried to give me do not work, but make me extremely agitated and sometimes violent. I'm trying to figure out what to expect form this evaluation. I rely heavily on the money I receive for disability and I'm worried they're going to take it away. What should I expect and how should I prepare? The VA in Dallas gave me zero information moving forward. How likely is it that they'll drop my disability?

Also, Im located in the Dallas area and the closest base in located in Ft. Worth. Who can I contact for more info about TDRL as well as updating my new mailing address?

Thanks ahead of time!

You could ask your provider to complete a DBQ for mental health. It would give you an idea of where you are at and evidence for an appeal should the rating be reduced.

You need to keep your service branch updated with your address.
