Hi my name is SrA Isaac Candelaria. I was in the Air Force untill i became sick with someting that looks like a tumour. they put me on tdrl with 100% disability.i havent sign yet but i would like to know what this mean in terms of my pay check and if ican work to pay my bills? i really aprreciate your help. also i have a secret/NAC clearance, there is any place where can i look for a job?

Isaac,

You will be paid 75% of your retired base pay (this is the average of the high 36 months of your base pay). Yes, you can work. There are many opportunities in government on the civilian side. I would think you can use your clearance to good advantage.

At DTAP class which is mandatory one of the speakers was NAVAIR who is actively hiring. there should have been some recruiters from civilian companys at your DTAP class. a good place to start looking is government contractors for example Lockheed Martin, NAVAIR, boeing etc etc companys like that are always looking for disabled vets to hire. good luck.
