I finally signed my AF Form 1180. Was given 80%DOD and 90% VA. I have 32 days of leave, 20 days of ptdy (already approved by commander), and then I'll have 15 days of outprocessing. Is there any way that my leadership can force me to pay back my leave instead of me taking all of my terminal leave? Last week my supervisor told me that the commander was only going to approve me to take 14 days of terminal. But today I found out my supervisor lied to the commander and told him I only have 14 days of terminal leave. My supervisor was originally under the impression that the projected day I would get out is 90 days after I signed this form and that I would have time to burn the rest of my leave instead of taking the full terminal leave at once. Anyways, I signed a paper today that my PEBLO is sending up to AFPC that says I have the terminal and ptdy. From what I understand, is that my orders will be projected out with those three things in mind (terminal 32, ptdy 20, outprocessing 15), which equals 67 days. After I get my orders, I believe I put my terminal and ptdy into leaveweb. If my commander was to deny my terminal leave and make me only take 14 days of terminal, I would then be forced to work those 18 days (32 minus 14 days) and get paid back for my leave, so I then end up losing money. Is this possible for the commander to deny my terminal leave and could I fight this? Sorry if this whole thing is confusing! I'm just not understanding the terminal leave thing, because my biggest fear is paying it back.
