Met with my new primary care manager two weeks ago just so he could become familiar with me.
Just a little back story but I basically have degenerative disc disease in the lumbar area . Four degenerated discs, two with tears and pain running through my hips and legs. I've tried all of the usual treatments such as PT, chiropractor, massage, nerve ablation and meds. I was turned down three times for a spinal fusion which I'd hoped would be my saving grace. Of course now I'm now ready to put my oh so short lived army career behind m .
My PCM looked at my chart and saw that I'd been through treatment and on/off for about 19 months and suggested a meb. He said we would meet this upcoming week to talk about it.
What does this mean exactly? You guys have given all sorts of great advice for those already in the MEB/PEB pipeline but I couldn't find anything for those who haven't quite started it yet. What should I expect? Should I bring anything? What types of questions should I ask? I'm a little nervous and don't want to do anything to screw it up or prolong the process. Thanks in advance!
