Timeline from diagnosis to MEB start date

I’ve seen many ppl post the timeline once the MEB has started, but I’m curious of the timeline from diagnosis of an MEBable condition to the provider starting the process.

That can vary based on the condition. I was told it can be a MEBable (guess that's a word haha) condition but depending on what it is they will want to treat the condition see if they can improve it. For example mental health conditions can start an MEB but if you just started going to a therapist or taking meds they would wait up to a year or longer to see if it improves before initialization of medical. If it's a condition your very unlikely to improve on it could be much quicker. It also depends on how your job is effecting your condition.

I had been seeing multiple Mental Health professionals sometimes multiple times a week for a year and a half with one hospitalization and multiple intensive out-patient programs before I just said enough is enough. Can you just MED board me? My psychiatrist literally sent my paperwork up that day.
