My claims for the VA started in the decision phase and stayed there for months before disappearing on the VA.gov website. Everyone has an unfit date. If your peblo can't give you a date. You have not been found unfit. If you do have a date, then yes, that's when your claim is officially being worked on give or take a day. Mind you, my peblo told me 30 days max back in early NOV for ratings. Now it's "call back in February...

My PEBLO told me that the next time I'll get to know anything is when I have findings. He never mentioned anything regarding a "unfit date." My claim disappeared online as well but i submitted a message via AskVA and they said I can always call to get status updates so that is what I have been doing. PEB accepted my package in early October and I've just been waiting with no word since except the VA saying I'm in the decision phase now ( :

then you were found unfit but idk why they didn't give you a date, you are almost the same timeline as me. I was in PEB mid Sep and the VA won't really tell you much, they don't have access to IDES stuff, I talked to my MSC and he said the askVA would be no help but they also cannot tell you where your case is until results.
 
It sounds like you haven't been found unfit yet. mine was accepted in September found unfit Nov. Most of the timelines show about a 6-8 week turnaround on unfit dates. It's not something your Peblo is going to call you over. Next time you speak ask specifically about whether or not you have been found unfit. It's a system that they check and it'll show whether it's still with the Doc or if you have been found unfit and fowarded to the VA.
 
I was found unfit October 20. My package was with the VA as of October 27. VA Closed my case December 15. Signed findings December 27. You can call the VA and they can tell you where your package is.

the VA just tells me decision phase every time and that they cannot give me rating until I get my DD-214.. they said my proposed ratings come from VB&E and they are supposed to email me.. not sure what is going on. VERA also said the same thing.

I always get told that when I call the default line but when I scheduled a call with VERA and they seemed to be a lot more receptive to helping out. Who knows what they're doing over there

VERA was worse for me. The woman was so rude and told me that the VA couldn't start processing my case until I was out of the service which is 100% incorrect.

Yea after my package was with the rater for ~60 days, they finally said a decision had been reached but they couldn’t tell me the results. I asked if they could email the proposal letter. Had to call a couple times to get it because some say they can’t send it. But eventually someone will help you out.
 
She said they’re back logged…”but this is normal”. Hopefully we hear something before then. I’m timelines are almost the same.
