As this is my first post on the forum, I want to take the time to say thanks to Jason and everyone else who makes this website possible. It has been very helpful though my process and it helps get me through a lot of days.
A brief history of my situation:
Oct 10 started MEB process for greater trochanic bursitis in my left hip along with both a ruptured and herniated disc (L5-S1, L4-L5). Paperwork got lost somewhere here at JBLM (Ft Lewis) and had to restart process 1 Jan 11. I was undergoing physical therapy for lower back at the time of the intial briefing and was made aware that upon receiving the MEB paperwork it was switched to initiate just on the bursitis. I filled out all the paperwork as I saw on this site that as long as you were in the process the MEB will include all of your issues, or are at least supposed to. At that point I was still pre-MEB and finially completed that process on 1 March when I spoke to my PEBLO and signed for all of my medical records. I was contacted the next week by the VA rep and signed paperwork for them as well. Then on 1 Apr I had my VA physical at QTC. This was by far the worst 15 minutes of my life. The provider examined me very quickly with little regard to what I was saying. For the ROM tests on my hip, I was laying on my back and he used all of his weight to manipulate my leg causing tremendous pain but saw that the joint could be moved. I could barely walk the 50ft to get xray'd after. I have brought up my concerns about this exam with both my PEBLO and the NCM assigned to my unit. The following Monday, exam was on Friday, I scheduled an appt with physical medicine as that entire weekend I was in pain in both my leg and back. The Dr. wrote up a new temporary profile from the recent damage of the VA physician. He advised against an edit to my existing permant profile as it would restart me in the process. I bring this up because I am fearful that with my NARSUM (May 26th) coming up that I will be unfairly processed. I know that I can request a medical review but won't that just cause a record review not another physical? I don't want to delay this process any longer than it has to (my ETS is 13 Jun 11 and I've got my first child due in August, would love to be home in Ohio and out of WA by then) but I also do not want to get screwed over because a physican couldn't be bothered to take a little extra time to do things the right way. Any ideas would be extremely helpful. Thanks.
