I have been in the MEB for almost 19 months and I have put off buying a home back in AL but I don't want to wait any longer, my packet is at Ft. Sam and will be back soon. Can I get the funding fee waived without getting a % from the VA? I will close on my house on Aug 30th and I am looking for any loopholes I can find, I will be exempt from property tax in my state because of SSDI and I should not get penalized because this system keeps failing some Soldiers. If anyone knows of anything I can do to keep from paying the Funding Fee until I can get my % from VA please let me know.
