Hello,

I am currently enrolled in the IDES process and my VA rep reached out to me and she wants my list of conditions in a few days. I have made the list but I itemized every conditions, and I have around 80 conditions I want to claim. She said she came up with 35 conditions and she said the best thing to do would be to generalize each body part and put each diagnoses associated with it. Has any one ever done it this way? My main concern is that each conditions will be missed. My VA rep also told me the VA won't rate acute conditions?

Wow, that is a ton of conditions. I have 23 conditions and several of them are grouped together and evaluated during the Head to Toe appointment..best of luck

1) The VA doesn't rate everything. 2) Sometimes that rate X as Y. The MSC should understand what is rated as what and what will not be rated. 3) I recommend you take your entire list to the MSC and allow her to help you file your conditions in the manner that the VA will rate them.

My MSC grouped a bunch of them together per How the VA would rate them. That 80 will very well be knocked down based on what the VA acknowledges as a possible service connected condition or EPTS condition. Either way I’d present the 80 conditions and your MSC will help sift through them

We had a conversation today about conditions and how it works with the QTC examiner. I guess generalizing some conditions allows the examiner to determine the cause or root of the issue and interject their opinion to rate problems properly. It’s a very confusing process and thank you for creating this forum!

Yeah, I got 80 and she said they overlap. A lot of them are for ortho issues. We knocked it down to 43 claimable condition's.

True, however, it is the mods and the members that make this site more than just a blog.
