Wow; thanks, it's truly well-received and definitely well-appreciated at this point in time!
To that extent, since I no longer have a military career to lead, mentor and advise military service members then the PEB Forum is definitely the next best platform to offer sound insightful information and to lend any additional assistance as feasible as possible; in my opinion.
Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."
Question: Does anyone know how long the PEB has once they have the VA ratings to come back with their ratings and their form? I was told that on Feb 11, the VA finished there ratings completely and forwarded it to the PEB. I know Frank had said his came back in about a week, but I was wondering if there is an exact amount of days they have to get it back to me. Also anyone know yet once you agree with the finding the approximate amount of time that it takes for them to get back to you with your EAS date.
I can see the end of the road I just keep trying to get there.

There is the proposed timeline, but no "requirement" for them to finish in a certain timeline.
Now as to once you accept findings, depends on your branch of service, but you will be out within 90 days of acceptance is the safest estimate to use. basically you accept, the peblo sends that back to afcp, they generate the orders for a retirement date, they reaaaaaaaallly like the date to be the 28th of the month due to pay reasons, so if you got your stuff back this week, you could technically request a 28 mar. retirement date, but that may be pushing it, probally 28 April would be the "best guesstimate", however with all things AFPC may take 1 week or 6 on either end (publish the findings or cutting the orders), if your moving in conjunction keep in mind that most TMO's require at least 2-3 weeks notice and more than likely 3-4+. if you are retiring w/ approval from cc you get your 20 days permissive house/job and any terminal leave you wish to take. Or sell the leave back, skip the permissive and pop smoke, but any thing less than 30 days, for outprocessing requires hq approval.
remember, take deep breathes, and think to yourself getting the initial ratings is just the beginning of the end, prep yourself for the fight etc. that way you will not give up on benefits you have earned just for the sake of getting the frick out.
I have another Marine in my shop that went to "Pending Decision Approval" the day after mine and he is still waiting on his findings as well. I think the weather backed everything up, but I'm thinking it should be anyday now.
Wow, my claim moved today in ebenefits, to "Pending Decision Approval" there may be a light at the end of the tunnel after all.. First movement or anything in the last 6 months. Well it feels good right now!!
So I'm still at home on con leave and I have a young guy that works for me that's also under MEB, he actually started his process a month after mine. After talking to one of my coworkers today I found out he received his percentages and is now waiting on orders. To summarize, we're USAF at JBER going through Providence, and his took 6 weeks from signing his NARSUM to having percentages. One of the success stories I guess, I'll keep waiting to hear back on mine.
Whats the magic phone number? I called someone today and it was deffinetly not someone that had a clue. Heard the VA is pending a decision as of today. Prob is ive been in Review of Evidence for 150 days on Ebenees. Is ther another more updated site or phone number of someone that has a clue?

Nope, no magical answer, except get a dav rep. Never rely on ebennies, never rely on any system that relys on human input to be accurate, sorry its just the truth. To top off the problem, peggy (va number) i snot trained in the slightest on IDES cases etc. so they have no clue either, they also never really look into your case except to see where it is listed at on the same ebennies system you use. The only accurate tracker is VTA which only the va folks and dav folks can access.
The closest you can get is by watching the timelines here and from the monday morning report. You need to know the date you were found unfit and your package actually went to the VA for ratings. Right now the average days AT JUST THE VA in providence is around 140 or higher, it is coming down slowly because they helped clear seattles massive backlog over the last three months, but that will not bring down the average for some time.
My claim, 24 conditions, all well founded except 1, went to the va on 18 sep. 2013, it got assigned to a rater 4 feb 2014, initial ratings done and forwarded for QA on 11 feb 2014. and I am still waiting. My guess is it is actually at AFPC right now, but cannot be sure until the peblo calls me and says they are in.

Banner day for updates, I will type everything out later, but got my numbers
60 dod/90 va
I want to accept them I really do, but I saw some things that the zero'd out, that need fighting before I leave service.
Additionally big news on my SSDI, my lawyer submitted an OTR request with his summary etc. and it was approved. So it may be 2-3 months until I get the official notice, but that fight is over for now.

To that extent, you were able to put a small grin of my face today; that doesn't occur much lately anymore!
Nonetheless, continue with the DoD IDES appeal's process if you truly believe your DoVA proposed ratings are not reflective of your medical evidence and its symptomatology!
Indeed, one-down and one-to-go in reference to your SSA SSDI potentially favorable determination and DoD IDES appeal's process via a future FPEB hearing and/or VARR request submittal!

They did not rate my compartment syndrome/fasciotomy at all, they lumped it in with vericose vein removal, which means they did not get the surgical report, that should be an easy addition, and they 0% my sleep apnea, which I have an apnea index of 10, but the doctor said my hypersomolence was idiopathic, so theres a small fight. they rated a few things I did not think they would, and zero'd a ton of things I thought they would rate. So we shall see.
I figure I will have at the least a formal and VARR ahead of me for a few things. owell, I knew there would be a fight, but I thought it would be over small stuff, not big stuff.

OK, indeed; buckle up and prepare for a hopefully short continuing fight for sure!
Naturally, it's not self-pleasing (at least for me) to know that the implementation of two FPEB hearings and a VARR request were warranted to ensure that my DoD IDES process legal rights were addressed albeit not entirely addressed properly unfortunately.
As such, please don't be denied your DoD IDES legal rights opportunities while still on active duty; continue the fight until the very end for sure in my opinion!

That's got a be let down after such a long process, expecting it to be finally done. I wish you the best and hopefully when you get your back pay from SS it'll make your process much easier to transition.
Geez louise. I cant be the first or last person to say this "Why arent these people being held accountable?" Heres the deal-- If I dont do my job, People die. If they dont do there's..... Well we the fallen will suffer. Thinking about letting PCM know that I need anxiety meds just to deal w this life angering situation.

you would not be the first, in fact in the "old days" when it was just the DES system, there were times folks actually got diagnosed and medicated for anxiety conditions due to the process, I remember a few on here.
Do not worry about me, I'll win my fight, or I won't, either way My family and I's life will go on and we will prosper. and so will everyone of you with any hope. this is a road bump, a nervous wreck, hair pulling, nail biting road bump, and every end is another beginning or so it seems. But we will make it.
Just wanted to update for anyone wondering how long it takes for your EAS to post. My EAS updated, April 29 2014 will be my last day as a Marine after 12+ years. Never thought I would be PCS'n to 1st Civ Div but it's finally about to happen. This process has been very stressful and if it wasn't for this site I don't know what I would have done. Thank you to everyone who contributes to this site, I will continue to be a contributing member forever as this site has helped me tremendously. I'll update more until my final payments have been received for others to guage on their timelines, thank you.
Received ratings today 24 February 14
50% DoD 50% VA - Permanent Retirement
19 Sept PEB found unfit for duty
Ratings complete on 7 February 14
I Had 1 condition that was unfitting. I didn't want to end my career in the USAF after only 5 years, but I think It would be foolish to fight such a favorable ruling.
