Wait Time For Providence, RI

SHOOT, my percentages were forwarded to the PEB on Feb 5th and still nothing.... Just a waiting game that is very annoying. I moved everything into storage and am just waiting, it's difficult because I am still doing my normal daily routines and at any moment I can get a phone call from my PEBLO saying that my percentages are in. Any advice anyone?

and it still says gathering of evidence on E BENNIES so yeah, enebefits is quite useless to me.

As in your VA ratings were forwarded back to PEB for completion on Feb 5th? If so, that is a very long time ago. I would assume that the PEB either temporarily misplaced your paperwork, OR that they sent your VA ratings back for a VA reconsideration. I have seen a couple people on here say that the PEB sent ratings back to VA if they determined that the ratings were grossly unfair for the servicemember. I would be calling your PEBLO or VA to see what the deal is.

My package has been in pend dec since Mar 3. Called and got ahold of my Peblo yesterday. She was thrown off because she said it should be done at 28 days or less.

Yeah my proposed ratings were forwarded to the PEB Feb 5th, I called my PEBLO and all he said was it takes about 60 days for them to receive the ratings. My PEBLO isn't the nicest individual so I try not to call him often. All he tells me is, I will call you when I get your ratings. I called the VA and they said that they have not received them back at all, they are just waiting for my DD214 to finish the process.

I accepted my findings on 4/1/2014 with a rating of 40% DoD PDRL and 50% VA. I will have to say that I have been one of the lucky ones. My package got sent to the VA for rating on 1/16/2104. So far my whole process took less than 3 months. I do plan on fighting for consideration on my ratings both DoD and VA but I'll begin that process once I am out. Patience and this forum kept me together, no knowing whats going on can be a strain on life. But that's how we are brought up in the military, not knowing until the last moment. I will advice everyone waiting to be persistent with this process in regards to inquiry as to what is going on. I used to call the VA at least 5 times a day because you get a different answer with each call but at least 2 of those answers will be in the same ball park. But most importantly, hang in there and chive on. I am waiting on an EAS date from HQMC, I have already begun checking out. Its a good feeling and I promise you all will get there. Rememer, this is your life and whatever happens with the DoD and the VA will dictate your future, so take charge and be persistent, even if you piss someone off they will give you some sought of a response, good or bad it will be a response to keep you informed.

Indeed, congratulations on the acceptance of your IPEB findings inclusive of DoD PDRL and DoVA proposed ratings! :D

As such, enjoy your forthcoming military disability retirement to include all post-military endeavors! Take care!

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

Man that is so right about the VA. I call once a day JUST because i get a different answer EVERY day..and then they read the whole spill..i just let them finish..best thing i found is to just let them dig..1 lady tells me dates for a lot of things, the next day a dude says they have access to those dates..smh

So I spoke with my peblo and my MSC today, I found out why I have been in "preperation for decision" for 2 weeks. According to the Peblo their system stated inadequate exam, and the adequate exam was received yesterday. The MSC explained it as the rater didnt fully answer some questions or the raters supervisor didnt like the answers given. Everything should be in order now and hopefully by monday the ratings will go into pending approval.

Just moved to Pending Decision Approval on 2 Apr!!! Does anyone know how long it has been taking for AFPC to send ratings to PEBLO?? Does the VA send the proposed ratings electronically or by mail??? I'm just ready to get this all over with and it seems like it's almost done!!! Was in Prep for decision for 16 days which seemed odd too me, but I'm anxious now! I just hope AFPC isn't back logged too!

Ipeb takes about 4-6 weeks, not sure if they are sent by mail or electronically, my Pelli didn't even know, but if you have a nice peblo they can see your ratings before the ipeb is done with them

Well I went to pending over 3 weeks ago and I still have no ratings. And another thing..... VA sent my ratings to PEB on March 14th. PEBLO said the PEB didn't receive them til the 25th. Not sure what happened to those 11 days. Slow mail if you ask me. Hopefully you will get your sooner but it's taking like a month right now.

Meg that wait can drive you nuts.

Im waiting for my retirement orders...coming up on 4 weeks after I've signed my proposed ratings.

I recommend you start your separation physical/dental.

Can't wait to have this all behind me!

How does that work though? Do you know when u are retiring and just waiting for the orders or do you not know til u get them?

I'm starting to get pissed. I thought when your stuff goes to pending you are pretty much done. Now it's a month after that for ratings, a month after that for orders, and probably a month after that until I can go home. I'm so done. I don't even care anymore.

I contacted my JAG and she told me that whenever she gets involved they normally speed up the process very quickly. I should have some answers by tuesday next week she said.

Well I hope it works out for you. I have been told multiple things by multiple different people throughout this process. Nothing ever ends up the way they say.

So, Got ratings today everybody. 20% DOD/100% VA... Im very confused on what to do. I wanted the Medical benees most of all. But apparently I dont need 30% Dod in order to receive medical benees. Any advice/Input?
Thanks in advance

Indeed, congratulations on the recent receipt of DoD and DoVA proposed ratings! :D

To that extent, with the DoVA 100% proposed rating, you shall have an opportunity to receive additional VA disability compensation benefits to include State/local disability benefits while receiving all medical healthcare treatment at any VAMC facility.

Hmm, is it your intent to appeal the DoD 20% proposed rating at this point in time? Or, otherwise accept "as is" in order to receive the DoD disability separation with severance pay?

Moreover, was your PEB referred unfitting condition "incurred in a combat zone" after January 28, 2008? If so, then you shall have an opportunity to keep the military disability severance without DoVA recoupment while keeping the DoVA compensation for the medical condition in addition!

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."
