Wait Time For Providence, RI

That sounds right, but I wonder what priority the IDES cases have? I'm sure most of those cases are regular claims from that regional area.
Thats what I'd like to know, hopefully my ides case is not at the back of the 3000+ cases they have on station.

I'm pretty sure the IDES cases have their own normal timelines. It seems that all the timelines you hear about on the Monday Morning Report and other sources are for regular veterans. I wish they had a separate report just for IDES cases so we know what we're working with, patience...........

Hey guys. So I checked my Ebennies this morning and after 7 months I finally went from "Under Review" to "Pending Decision Approval". I dont know how much longer after that but this is the FIRST movement I've seen.. PERIOD. I guess SOMEONE found my package!

Congrats, I checked mine yesterday and had the same posting after 5 months of sitting around hopefully it moves quicker from here!

Mine switched to Review of Evidence and then to Preparation for Decision on Tuesday and then I got a phone call about a VCAA waiver...

YEa apparently all the movement took place on Tuesday and Wednesday from looking at it on Ebennies.

Thanks for the update MarineChix, when did your package get received by Providence? Trying to compare to mine with hopes of some type of timeline!

Has anyone else been asked about a VCAA waiver? If not... Why was I asked? The rep on the phone said it was me saying that I had submitted all the evidence and didn't wish to submit anymore evidence for my claim... I am sure if this happened often that I would have seen more about it here on this site.

My case went from Seattle to Providance on the 3rd of October. According to their monday morning reports the 21 of Oct they completed 1026 packets on the 28 of Oct they completed 1463 cases 437 cases in a week is pretty damn good!

I think it it was some time in early Sept. I will get the timeline for you guys once I speak with my PEBLO again. This is what I know
Aug 5- Signed NARSUM
Aug 27- Found UNFIT
Sept 3- Case sent to VA
Oct 30- Prep for decision/ Pending decision Approval

Here is a timeline I found online for the IDES process, keep in mind the IDES process is new and it this timeline probably wont be accurate but at least there is some idea
http://www.hqmc.marines.mil/Portals/135/Docs/JAL/Overview%20IDES%209%20Apr%2012.pdf
Now it says on there that the PEB has 15 days, mine only took 7 days to be declared unfit, which my PEBLO called me and informed me I was unfit and it was sent to the VA on Oct 7. Then it says the VA has 15 days to come back with your Primilinary Findings, what ever that means I assume they say that because you can appeal, however it is now Oct 31 and my VA rep told me that the VA is waiting for the ratings person to come up with the number and that everything else is done. She told me another week or so.

As for Ebenefits, mine says that I am in the Review of Evidence phase, and that my evidence requested is past due. My VA rep told me that is typical with the IDES process because both sides have to wait on the other so my C&P appiontments that i did in August should have been processed already if it was a regular claim but because of the IDES it is always delayed because of the military needs to finish the PEB part first before the VA can make their ratings. I hope that clears a few things up.

Now do remember that everyone's process is different and by luck of the draw some are faster than others, I had a ton of claims and my unfit part was done fast, but my VA part is taking a while. However, your case me be different and depending on a ton of stuff none of us have control over. I will update everyone as my finding come back and such to use as a rought imeline for everyone. Thanks guys and good luck in this ridiculous process

For some reason my eBenefits has always stayed in the "Gathering Evidence" stage since it was entered in the system back in July. VA received my unfit package on Oct 2 from the PEB, hopefully they aren't waiting on something else.

Mine said the same thing too then this past weekend the original claim in Ebenfits was completed and a new one opened and by Tuesday I was in the Preparation For Decision stage.

Does anyone else have "Requested Verification of Service" under "What We Still Need For Others?". Apparently the 1800 number says my claim is in the development stages and requested information from the National Records Center. I'm assuming this is the DD214? However, im obviously still active, anyone else encountered this yet?

When I called a couple weeks ago. They told me mine was in the "developmental stages" as well and that they weren't going to do anything with my claim until they received my DD214. But knowing better I was like ok then. So I'm only assuming when I say that I think you're correct.

whats up everyone,
Its been a few weeks since I have posted but would like to give you all an update on my timeline.
July 8th 2013 - started MEB
July 16th - VA Medical
July 17th - VA mental health
August 12th - Package sent to PEB
August 21st - Found Unfit by PEB/ Package sent
Sept 30th - MOL stated PEB accepted my package
July 26th - Nov 4th - Ebenefits stated Preparation for Decision
Nov 5th - Ebenefits Changed to Pending Decision Approval.

Not too sure what that means. I would call the VA 800 number but they told me to not call since I am still on active duty. And told me to call the PEBLO, i called the PEBLO and they said there is nothing they can do so just sit and wait. So here i am sitting and waiting and it appears the process is still flowing. Hope this helps relieve some of everyones Anxiety and hope you all hear something soon as well. And if you know anything about Pending Decision Approval let me know. Oh by the way I have a lot of claims and have been pretty banged up, so that may help out some too.

Another Marine mentioned that his Peblo told him the DoD systems have been down since Oct 10. And this is why ratings haven't been getting sent out as frequently. Anyone know how true this actually is? I don't talk to my Peblo about anything.

I don't know if this is true or not. It does make sense to me. I'll see what I can find out.

Anyone who got their stuff submitted in August get their stuff back yet? I submitted mine on August 27th, 2013 an was found unfit by the PEB in October and still havent heard anything back yet. It sucks seeing people send theirs in a couple weeks after I did and are EASing middle of this month... How bad has the government shut down backlogged the VA?
