Wait Time For Providence, RI

the average days pending is based entirely on when the VA receives and "accepts" your unfit letter.
They have a built in 30 days I believe to actually start your claim from the date it hits their level in VTA or whatever.

Providence, RI office has had my stuff now since May 7, 13. E-Bennies still reads "Under Review"... REALLY getting frustrated here. Trying to work some things through my RCC, CM, and PEBLO to get an update.

Air Force, BTW.

It seems to me that it is all smoke and mirrors and that they have 30 days to accept things that they receive in their system. This was something that was needed when packages were sent by FedEx and had to be opened by someone and routed to the right place. Since most of our cases were all transferred electronically then they are just using the 30 days to fudge the numbers.

Yup, leaving that (30 days) in their buys them some time to make their numbers look better. Like maybe they did not indoc any cases during the shutdown, so their numbers looked better. No one really knows, and I doubt many in the chain know, and if they do know, they wont tell.

Hey Guys. My peblo just called me.. MY RESULTS ARE IN! I go and see him in an hour! As of now my ebennies still says "Pending Decision Approval" sooo yea.
hey there, I was wondering how long you were in the Pending decision approval phase. I am trying to get some sort of timeline on that. Early in our post one marine was 15 days and i am not too sure on mine. I know that you and that other Marine as well as my timelines have been very close. Thanks for any help in advance.

My package was sent to the VA on October 7 and my PEBLO and my VA rep told me that providence is faster than most. My PEBLO said that is usually 30-45 days, Im now on day 43 and there seems to be no movement at least according to ebenefits. My VA rep told me that my case hasd been reviewed and sitting on the rating officers desk. I have no idea what that really means and now long I will have to wait. I am convinced it is pure luck if my packages gets looked at or not

I'm right there with you DaPats, mine has been there since October 2nd with no details of movement. Calling the VA does absolutely nothing, all we can do is just compare our timelines and discuss our eBenefits movements. Hopefully we'll see some movement by the end of the month, but I wont hold my breath.

You are all around the same timeline for VA ratings - wanted to post since none of us are getting anywhere with VA and eBenefits. And if I hear one more "sequestration" excuse.....
My timeline for IDES – in final rating process/VA Providence R.I.
18 March 2013 - MEB Begins
3 April 2013 - Met with VA rep to go over medical record
(same date that shows on eBenefits as the date I filed C&P claim)
14 & 15 May 2013 - C & P Exams
June-Sep 2013 – Issues with NARSUM having to be redone
11-18 Sep - Final NARSUM Signed & Package sent to PEB
3 Oct 2013 - IPEB - Found Unfit according to my PEBLO – no memo received
3 Oct 2013 - Providence RI receives package for ratings according to my PEBLO
19 Nov 2013 - Still showing the same as when the process started – “Under review” on eBenefits
19 Nov 2013 - Nothing new according to my PEBLO – still in limbo

My E-benefits changed this evening from preparing for decision to pending decision approval. Hopefully the end is near!

Hopefully you have a favorable outcome in the near future. Good luck to you and let us all know when you find out something.

90 days. The VA still says they finished reviewing my package Sept 14th, and Peblo is still providing no additional information.

HAD A BUDDY HAVE THE SAME THING HAPPEN HIS PEBLO HAD DOCUMENTATION FOR TWO MONTHS AND NOTHING HE COULD HAVE CLEARED AND EVERYTHING AND IT JUST SAT ON PEBLOS DESK

Tony: call the DAV in Seattle, you may have to fax them a form of authorization if they aren't your power of attorney. I called them yesterday and they're extremely helpful. They should be able to give you your ratings if the VA is done. Phone: 206-341-8267

Interesting email from IRIS today I will just cut and paste
"
Your claim is currently in the Development Phase of processing. This phase is where we gather all the evidence we need in order to make a decision on your claim. Our systems do not indicate further information is needed from you to support your claim at this time. If we determine we need additional information, we will contact you.

Currently claims at the Providence Regional Office (RO) are taking about nine months to complete. Please understand that these timeframes are only averages, and that your claim may take longer based upon the specifics of your claim and VA’s pending workload."

Nine months to process a claim? their monday morning report says average is just over 4. quite a wide range there ya think lol.

9 months would be 270 days which would put me at 15 june of 14, and with appeals etc. put me darn close to 3 years past when I was supposed to be entered into IDES lol.

when you do a IRIS request they let you know what stage your claim is in and then give you an automated response on the averages regardless of what their current averages is, meaning they don't changes the automated timeline response every week a monday report comes out

Also what they gave you was a automated timeline response for VETERANS claims(which iris and ebenefits is meant for) not IDES, they don't separate the two

so no your rating won't take 9 months

I received the same response TSgt, however I understand the VA reps aren't educated on the IDES process. I pretty much realized the Inquiry was a waste of time as they didn't give me a single bit of useful info.

IRIS, ebenefits, 1800# all one in the same

IRIS just give you more detailed info and will let you know your claim is IDES ( DES to them)

My case was at "Pending Decision approval" in ebenefits when I received the call from my Peblo that my findings were in. Before that I called the 1800# and they said that something was mailed otu to me (which I've still never recieved), but abuot a week later my PEBLO contacted me.

I've given them a call and POA. I will check tomorrow to see if Ebenefits actually processed everything. Thanks!
