Why wasn't your anxiety considered unfitting? Some others are found unfit for anxiety alone but in your case it seems that it wasn't the reason you were being boarded so they weren't going to find it unfitting.

I was able to reach one of the nice VA reps at the toll free number this morning only to find out that the VA hasn't yet touched my case in the 37 days since receiving it from the AF PEB. It is kind of disheartening to see that some folks gets rather quick decisions from Providence, RI and after 37 days my case is still propping up someones desk leg. Today is my 282nd day in IDES without being given proposed ratings and I am sure that I wont have the ratings anytime soon. It's also day number 203 since my case went from the MEB to the PEB...

I'm on day 44 since package sent to VA for ratings. Was told I'm still in the "developmental stages of ratings" ha, whatever that is.

How is that so many others here have posted stuff like the VA started their rating on September 24th and PEB received the proposed ratings on the October 16th?

That's 22 days... That's half of what you have waited so far and substantially less than I have waited. I guess we got the slow ratings person at the VA D-RAS. When you see others get theirs back within 30 days then you know that Providence is capable of producing ratings in a timely manner and you wonder why you are not getting yours back. I only have two referred conditions and 5 additional conditions.

I've called twice since my last post update. Each rep giving me a different piece of information than the other. The first one mentioned proposed ratings, the second was lost in the sauce completely, the third one only saw notes that the VA received my package September 10th. So it is possible that it hasn't even been touched since then. Today was my original EAS.

The DoD did not give me a rating for the GAD, only the VA. Also they rated my spondolyarpathy with the overall title "back pain." No doubt in my mind that they rated me wrong, even the PEBLO said it was wrong, but I am ready to be gone and could care less at this point, I am going take it up with the VA when I get out and take the severance and the EAS for now.

I feel the same way about just being ready to be gone. My C&P exams were done in February (5 months ahead of yours) and I still don't have my proposed ratings...

may i give some insight. go see a DAV rep and have them advocate for you. they can see and tell you more than the 1800 number will.

Also try to do stuff to help you when you get out. i just got approved to participate in Operation Warfighter. which is an intership program that could possibly get you an internship with a company you would like to work with when you join 1st CIV DIV

Also take a break get a hobby and do things to take your mind off of this process. just relax and know that hey your getting a paycheck and you are being taken care of right now and make tenetive plans for the future. write them down right down your goals. contact the school you want to go to and see if there is any classes you want to start now that way you are making strides for your future. but take it from a mild veteran. worrying about it will only bring unessacary stress in your life.

My understanding is you will get paid your severance the day you seperate with your last check.

Joe,

I contacted the DAV rep on Miramar and was told you have to go through your PEBLO. Do you have any other DAV reps in the area that are a little more helpful? What other access do they have over your PEBLO's?

frank,
Not sure as of right now i have not contacted a DAV Rep because i am not worrying about it. My belief is my ratings will come in due time. i check EBENNIES from time to time but other than that. i could care less where i am in my process because im getting wonderful bennies right now.

I only refernced DAV because i know ppl on this sight have used them to get information.

also i noticed a DAV office at the VA hospital in La Jolla when i went there for an appointment.

My case is currently in the Rhode island office. I was trying to figure out how much they do a day so any input would be appreciated, according to my fuzzy math between oct 21 and the 28 report they went from 1026 cases completed as of 21 oct to 1463 completed as of 28 oct that would be 437 cases in that week averaging 72.8 so call it 72 cases a day. Does this seem right?

That sounds right, but I wonder what priority the IDES cases have? I'm sure most of those cases are regular claims from that regional area.
