What happens next (Portsmouth

Hello guys,
I received my findings Apr 24 2024 and I
sent back all the paper work the following day. I agreed to my findings of 20 DOD/100 VA
Since I accepted my findings I was told 2-3 months for my separation date. Any word on how true this is or when I can expect or if there’s anything else. Maybe Jeff could fill me in? Any info would be phenomenal

@OrdieChief

Here's OrdieChief's full timeline. Your timeline seems to be lagging behind, but you (in another forum) said that your PEBLO doesn't have anything to do with your process anymore and they're not lying to you. They just forward it to the PEB, and then a separate PEBLO delivers your findings, and that's the extent of your PEBLO interactions. Have you spoken to your MSC?

I do recommend speaking to WWBn as they usually have the direct number for the separation authority to your branch. Example would be WWBn having direct lines to MMSR-4, Marine authority on medical seps/retirements.

Just for brevity's sake these are key dates in his timeline pertaining to you:

-va claim closed apr 23

-findings apr 29

-terminal may 8

-dd214 12 june

-27 jun retired

Given yall got findings back at the same time give or take I think someone fell asleep at the wheel on your case.

Ok yeah i definitely do seem to be lagging behind.

So what are the steps I should take to find information?

You said talk to MSC? I’m not sure who or what that is, and WWBN aswell. When I talk to these people what should I go about saying?

MSC is your military service coordinator, the guy you made your claims with at the beginning for VA exams. I only mention him to verify your outbound interview with them is finished.

855-628-9997 or email [email protected] is the contact info for Navy WWP. This is the "master" contact info from what I can understand.

More local is this:

Hopefully you can get some insight from OrdieChief but he's retired now and may have bigger fish to fry given how insane the outprocess can be, but if not WW should have plenty of experience on this.

Yeah brother, someone dropped the ball in your case.

My PEBLO told me that Portsmouth was BETA testing some new system to submit cases to the VA and it was making Portsmouth cases go way faster.

Case in point, as @thanks4urhelp pointed out, I was told the same thing as you but my timeline was so short it made my head spin. I know it's all case by case, but there's no way you should still be sitting and waiting for a separation message for this long.

There will be people that say, they waited longer, and I get it, but you shouldn't be waiting since accepting findings in April. Someone dropped the ball.

I know wounded warrior in Portsmouth has helped a lot of people. Or you could call MNCC and ask for an update but they will probably tell you it's with TSC Norfolk, and then you're at the mercy of them.

I don't have a lot of advice on what to do in your case because me case was so different. I hope it all works out for you though and keep us posted.

Thanks for chiming in on this. Hope post mil life is treating you well. I'm putting on the uniform for the last time today and I get my discharge papers tomorrow. Small world.

@thanks4urhelp yeah, I've been traveling for the 4th and at my new job, it's keeping me busy. Working from home a few days a week allows me to jump on here sometime. Post mil life is good, the grass is greener for sure. Congrats on your discharge, it's a surreal feeling that I don't think has fully sunken in to me yet.
