What percentage can I expect from a methacholine challenge test?

Pretty much I have less than 6 months left on my contract before I HYT and was going to start skill bridge in a few weeks. Long story short I got diagnosed with asthma about a month ago and my PCM said I might have to go through a meb. I looked at my profile and it was updated 2 weeks ago and it says "member is undergoing a MEB EST end date 11/13/2025." Today a note was added to my MHS saying code 37 NARSUM initiated today will forward to Peblo when completed." I have no idea what this means, nobody has reached out to me to talk. I'm pretty much worried about starting my skill bridge. I’m scared of the rating I’ll get I heard 30% is an automatic meb board. I’m not sure how to interpret my results. I don’t see why they would start a meb with HYT around the corner.

The test you took is used to diagnose asthma. A PFT is used to determine compensation.

I took a normal breathing test. I’m assuming that’s the PFT? It was good. I failed the methacoline challenge test. So theoretically I should be fine?
I was under the impression that the methacoline challenge test FEV’s are used for VA rating as well. And I know the air force goes off of what they say. I was just trying to gauge what I can expect.

i am in the same exact situation as you. 6 months to go until my ETS. my code 37 officially came on my 469 (profile) in November due to asthma.
just a heads up - i've been told that most of the asthma cases are returned for duty unless you have a moderate to severe case.

i have not been reached out to by a peblo either. but my pc says my narsum was sent to peblo already.
next, your commander impact statement should be coming to your peblo. this form will identify if your commander thinks you should be retained or not retained.

some advise i would give you is to go to your PCM and request a daily inhaler be prescribed to you (this is different than the red albuterol inhaler, get a separate DAILY maintenance inhaler).
a daily inhaler is a 30% rating with the VA for asthma according to CFR - no matter what your FEV scores are.

If you look at the CFR, there are several sets of numbers which can rate your condition. The rater will take the set that gives you the best rating. Do you have a PFT?

Are you saying you would rather just do your skill bridge and get out over the Medboard? People on here are going to say I am giving you bad advice but you can literally just not get Medboarded. They aren't going to make you voluntarily extend your contract to complete a Medboard. It is going to take 9-12 months to Medboard. If you would rather do your skill bridge and get out do that. Just get everything medical documented and take it up with the VA later. Just tell the Medboard recommending provider you aren't willing to extend to complete a Medboard.
