So got a proposed of 100% Va and 50% DOD, and found unfit to be in PDRL. I am at 19 yrs and 6 months. Would they actually retire me at 20? it did t say a date of separation on there I am assuming once I signed my findings. What are possibilities.

Hey everybody,
I am over 20 years total with 14 active and the remaining in the Army National Guard. I’m a CW4 Blackhawk pilot and also a GS13 technician working as a pilot as well. I’ve had migraines for years but it’s has progressed to the point of removing me from flight status. I’m 100 P/T with a 50% for migraines already through the VA. I am at a complete loss on what to do and was recommended to come here. Here are my stats:
Been in the reserves for 6 years (currently an E4)
Currently in an IMA unit
80% VA disability
Had surgery in 2025 for my right knee and will need surgery for my left knee
My knee condition is a LOD injury
ETS is in Aug 2026
My biggest concern is keeping my insurance so my ideal outcome is get medically retired so I can receive Tricare. Is it possible? How do I start the med board process? How do I work towards a 30% DOD rating for medical retirement?

Long story short I’ve had three cases of rhabdomyolysis in the last 6 months. Two were pretty severe with one CK over 70,000 and the other over 120,000. My primary care during this last episode activated my order for a Fit For Duty. I called to schedule the FFD and the order was terminated by Ortho saying I didn’t meet requirements. Is this because I should be referred directly to An MEB? Or maybe missing documentation, more time on profile,etc? I know no one really knows in here I’m just looking for opinions. I’m also looking to get MEB because I want to save what’s left of my kidneys. I’m freaking out because I don’t want to wait 2 weeks for the appointment with my PCM. Thank you
