Chances are slim we'll still be in when the boards meet, and even slimmer that we would still be in after they recess. What concerns me is that the criteria for VA and DoD compensation differ. VA rates for loss of civilian employability and DoD rates for loss of future military career. I just hope the military doesn't try to make the argument that a RIF would constitute loss of military career and say that takes precedence in order to deny retirement/medical separation benefits. Even below 30% disability medical severance is about twice as much as RIF severance.

I am in the VA reconsideration phase, so hopefully the end is in sight for me. I'd like to think I will have orders in hand before the board convenes, but nobody really knows how long this process takes. I could have signed the 30% PDRL, but the lawyers strongly suggested I file a reconsideration. I hope I do not regret that decision.

The DAV guys are great and told me more info about what the VA was doing with my case in 5 minutes on the phone than I got in the months prior.

I just received my results VIA phone. I am in Germany and finished my Physical Sept 1 2013. I have a Battle Buddy that went with me and his ratings came last week.

My AKO updated PEB findings Today. I called PEBLO here and they sent me to Bragg Peblo. The Bragg Peblo said I shouldnt listen to my tracker, and that they were still working case from Sept 2012.

I told him about my Battle and he checked the VA tracker and he was amazed that they have returned so quickley.

He is fowarding my ratings to Germany PEBLO and should sign in the next day.

LORs are taking about a week over her.

Well, I did some digging and it seems that they have questions on the medical analysis on some of my xrays where the doctor is commenting on on thing but the xrays and previous diagnosis point to something else. That was why it jumped back in the timeline.

Click on the right side of the claims status page where it says documents required, if it says waiting on separation orders then your ratings are done.

They will more than likely defer it if it doesn't make a huge difference in ratings

Not seeing it on my screen. I clicked on upload documentation but it just took me to an upload page.

Ok your ratings are NOT done yet, there is missing documentation the VA has requested from the VAMC-- most likely from your QTC exams. The VA is very strict on getting the items requested, luckily you know they are working your case.
 
Got the best phone call ever! Peblo called and told me my ratings are done just waiting on the 199! Whew I feel like I can finally breathe!
