Had my VERA phone call and confirmed that my benefits letter was sent back to the PEB and that my BEL was mailed out to me. On the same phone call they told me that they couldn't share the ratings with me since I haven't received my BEL yet, but I was able to find out that I've been proposed at 100% by calling the national phone number. Hoping to hear back from my PEBLO by the end of the week and finally sign the 1180.

I just received my second MyFSS email today. Should be talking with my PEBLO Thursday or Friday and signing all paperwork.

Just signed for my ratings today. Was told to be ready for my orders to drop within the next week or even by tomorrow depending on if they process everything today when they get it.

Let me know if you figure out how this separation date came about, mine also didn’t really make sense and it threw my command into a fit about when I should start my PTDY/Terminal leave instead of those 15 days to out process.

It looks like I cannot do anything today or even next Monday. USAFE has two family days for "Spring Break". Sadly, I need to wait 01 April to receive any word back about my orders.

Hey there, I figured mine out. I don't know if you're still lookin for the answer. My days of out processing were 15 days + 4 family days + My leave (April included) which brought me up until my DOS. The slight issue is that I'm .5 days off from my DOS, so I need to take .5 days of excess leave which I'm told will be taken out of my final paycheck.
 
Most likely will be my final post on here but I wanted to share the information so that others don't get screwed the same way. Make sure that when you receive your retirement orders or when you receive your separation orders that you ensure it states that you can have two checked bags. Since my medical retirement orders fail to state that, I now have to pay out of pocket for two checked bags because the orders failed to state it.

Also, be aware that if you're separating or retiring, you will need to pay for your TLA or lodging out of pocket and won't get reimbursed until you receive your final pay. Nothing like a shit covered cherry added to this already nightmare of a process. Hopefully this information can help prepare others for what's to come while out processing.

Out of curiosity, why did you decide to take 0 days of PTDY? Wouldn't it be better to get the extra 20 days of active duty pay?

It was just my personal preference. I had enough money in my account to be comfortable with, was due to get money for my final pay, and because I wanted to get my VA benefits started sooner.

Since you can’t start your VA benefits until your separation, I decided to opt for no PTDY. This helped me get my VA benefits started sooner, including the health care which took me just one day to get registered / approved in my area.

I was soooo set on keeping my 69.5 days of leave to add for terminal, but honestly, I just need to get my son to start school on time and my VA benefits to kick in. I have too many meds to leave up in the air. We're moving from the lower West continental U.S. to Alaska, and yeah, there are still outside costs. So having a chunk of change makes a big difference for me. It was a hard decision but I completely get where you're at 123pats.
 
Anyone reached their DOS yet? Mine was 1 July and I’m trying to buy a house with the VA loan which is impossible without them updating my percentage. Anyone got a timeline for that?
