Just got notified I am likely going to be MEB'd. For my DoD rating, do they look at JUST the driving condition, or secondary conditions as well?

My RILO was sent up with "Do Not Retain", so I am doing some preparation for the likely outcome of a MEB.

My condition on its own only rates 20% tops. Does this mean this is the most I can get from the DoD rating? Or can I also couple in secondary conditions with the DoD rating (ROM, migraines caused by it, etc.)?

I'm sorry if this has been posted before, I just found this forum and I'm not quite sure how to navigate it yet.

DoD Rating is based off of your "unfitting condition(s)." So the only way to get above that 20% would be for the MEB to add more conditions that they consider unfitting for continued service. The secondary conditions you mentioned would have to be bad enough that they could probably be boarded singularly.

Try to get the secondary conditions listed in your commander's impact statement to include how they don't allow you to do your job. If you missed days at work due to migraines that would be listed on your commander's impact statement. That will give you some ammo to appeal at the NARSUM stage up through the FPEB if needed to add it as unfitting.
