If it helps any, I recently submitted my packet and got me decision letter, albeit from the Army, but 2 combat tours to Afghan, and my 30% rating for Hyper-Awareness/Sleep Disorders was awarded with the reason of combat deployment and location. I have a CIB but they didn't cite that as the reason.
Good luck, and hope its a speedy process for you! I submitted my packet to Army HRC on 17 December 2024, and got a new letter in my IPERMs on 27 MAR 2025 with my decision letter. Now just awaiting DFAS to actually do something with it. I think the Army is taking close to the full 120 days, for...
That makes sense, thank you. I was just starting to get confused as I only know it was accepted and given 80% CRSC by checking my iperms randomly; It says 27 March 2025 was decision date, and I noticed it on the 28th. Just got my letter in the mail today, but hadnt head anything else official...
I randomly checked my IPERMs account, and got my CRSC decision letter, but still have not been notified by DFAS or IPERMs that it was submitted to my account, any idea how long it takes for DFAS to get their copy and conduct the calculations? I submitted my packet 17 DEC 24 and got my IPERMs...
Thank you Ron, that is helpful. I too did NOT check box 26 on my form, which is fine. It might not even matter honestly, was just told by my Care Coalition rep that as a Senior Major with 14yrs in, my Base Pay at my 50% and combat coded would exceed the VA compensation amount, so it would be...
Ah ok, well that is really unfortunate since I signed that in the very beginning and was told by my PEBLO and legal rep to not check that box since I do not have 20 years of service and it wouldnt apply. Thank you
Hey all, I am sorry and this might be a dumb question, but I am currently an O4 w/ 14yrs active time. Finished my MEB and pick up my dd214 on Monday and official retirement date is 27 NOV 2024. I was awarded 50% DOD (Permanent) rating and 100% VA (P&T) rating. Most of my DoD ratings were combat...
I had my meeting with legal this afternoon, was told my appeal will be submitted next week once all documents are in order, and it should take roughly a month to hear back. So its likely around that range. I was told if I did a formal board though it would be in November or December.
My 199 says it was not in a combat zone or as the result of performing combat related operations, which is one thing I wanted to discuss with legal about, since I was referred after a bad landing on airborne op for xrays on cervical spine and lumbar spine, which are 2 of the 3 conditions I was...
Received my DA 199 and VA Ratings sheet this afternoon, 40% DoD and 100% VA P&T. Now to meet with legal to discuss what is/can be related to combat and what isnt. I have no idea how to read these documents, or how to understand CRSC, but after 14 years and 4 deployments I would hope I am...
I received my VA Claims packet, or the MEB packet yesterday, 25 APR 2024. Am scheduled with legal next week to discuss whether to appeal or not. Wanted to update.
No problem, i wish it didnt take as long as it did, but the knee recovery has been slow due to the surgery they did. I will continue to update this post and not make a new one as i progress through.
