13 Sept 2021: Received my retirement orders, retirement date is 12 Oct 2021. Called State RSO and left a message to set up a time to do retired pay and SBP counseling

I guess I’m a bit confused now. Is Retirement Services supposed to reach out to me? Or vice versa? Because no one has contacted me and you and I were pretty much running neck and neck on our timelines.

My MEB findings were forwarded on 1 Jun 2021. My PEBLO said between 60-90 days and I got my 199 on day 90.

EDIT: 30 Aug 2021: Received IPEB findings. Unfit. 60% DOD, 90% VA. PDRL. I have my counseling with my PEBLO tomorrow after which I’ll schedule with Soldiers Counsel. I don’t plan on fighting the findings at this point.

Wanted to close the loop on this discussion. Just as an FYI, I was checking my iPERMS the other day and my 199 from the Non-Duty Related PEB was in there… or so I thought. In place of the findings, there was a memo dated for 5 July 2020 to terminate the board as I was found to have duty related...

Nothing. Sounds like I’m in that 199 time period where it’s just silent and then stuff starts happening real quick.

Long story short, I was found unfit and was told I’d be out “soon”. Then nothing happened and they said basically it got to “Big Army” and they kicked it back and told them to put me through IDES.

I did hop on E-Benefits and check my percentage. Of my 9 claimed conditions, 8 were service connected for a VA total of 90%. I am in the IPEB step right now, so I don’t know for certain what my DOD % will be, but if they use the VA ratings, it should be 60%. We’ll see what happens.
