Maybe it is different for NG. I honestly do not know how it works but I know for ADAF that if you get above 30% you are retired.

At 80% DOD your going to get a retirement 30% and above is retirement. I dont think you get a choice.

My base (AF) told me I had to do Pre-Sep and TAP and it was required when first starting the MEB process...Who freaking knows? Seems like every base has their own rules.
