TDRL Psychiatry re-evaluation only? what to do?

You won't be up for re-eval until around 18 months. Its not set in stone but you generally won't be on their radar for a while longer. I prefer going to the local MTF at the base close to my house. Like you, I don't particularly enjoy going to the VA clinic and while I can, I will go on base...

    Need Mental Health MEB!

One thing you have against you, in my opinion, is that you have made it 21 years and seemingly able to perform. I realize you probably sucked it up and made it happen but just letting you know the way they look at things from that perspective.

Over 20 Years service, probably rated at 100%

If you get med boarded, you are retired at your current rank. The 10 year minimum doesn't apply. And yes, I am a mustang and experienced this firsthand.

Anticipating TDRL, could a VARR submission to request PDRL be worth the time and effort?

The issue there is an expectation that your condition could change for better or worse when you leave the service. For that reason, most MH issues are TDRL even with previous stability.

    Navy Timeline (Also need Guidance)

Whoever advised you to start house hunting gave you poor advice, in my opinion. You have a ways to go in the process not counting any potential appeals. I recommend not even thinking about house hunting until you have your orders. It will only cause further stress. Looking at potential...

    VA Rating?

The 2nd claim is for finalization once they get a copy of your DD-214. It won't close out until after you have been discharged. That being said, don't forget to give your MSC a copy of your DD-214 once you get it before you leave.

Looking for some help and advice

Just my opinion, but reaching the 30% with back or knee issues is always tricky due to the tests performed to determine the rating. One of the most common complaints I read on this board is how the ROM tests were not done properly and heavily argued/appealed. Only being 6 months into the...

Any ideas on how to slow an MEB down after IPEB?

You can request permanent limited duty until a requested date to retire.

    Commission, MEB & Retirement

If you MEB, you retire at the rate you are when you retire. The 10 year rule does not remove the rank from an MEB retiree.

    Continuing in the same branch

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing these difficulties. In my opinion, based on your past experiences, I'm not sure becoming an MD is the best fit since you have already shown difficulty in adapting to strenuous work hours. You can certainly do what makes you happy but taking care of...

    Med board request.

Your medical provider will have to recommend you for a med board based on your current situation/treatment. A LIMDU(s) doesn't by itself qualify you for a med board. Are you currently being treated for a condition(s)?

    What to expect and claim?

Make sure to download the VA DBQ form for Fibromyalgia diagnosis to be aware of what they will be checking. Also, per their language, it helps to have seen a Rheumatologist if possible.

Navy, When can I start the process?

A MEB is usually started as a result of treatment not being possible or working. If there is still a surgery on the table, that decision hasn't been finalized yet.

    VA Appointment Question

You are early in the process. There is a long way to go, relatively speaking. I think within 2 weeks is a good guess. Good luck.
