My Timeline - Currently Waiting on VA for Ratings

Hard to say but I imagine they would treat your case like a VARR and get the new rating done in 1-3 weeks. Here's to hoping! Once the rating is done, you should have findings within 1-2 weeks after. Mine only took a week. Wishing you the best on getting out soon.

My Timeline - Currently Waiting on VA for Ratings

I would call back on Monday and it will probably be good to go by then. It's always a toss up if they'll send it to you though. MSC is usually your best bet for getting the percentage but sometimes the people from the hotline will just send you the letter once it's ready. Quality review likely...

My Timeline - Currently Waiting on VA for Ratings

No it won't affect PERS at all. The only thing it could affect is your command letting you check out. But just tell them it's not required for you since you went through IDES.

My Timeline - Currently Waiting on VA for Ratings

I looked up the Navy regulations and you don't need any separation medical exams if you are separated through IDES. We already did all our exams with the VA and whatnot. I would probably go by and grab your records from them but no it shouldn't affect your orders.

I’m sure you probably have been. You could always call the VA hotline and see if they say you’re “in the decision phase”. That seems to be a good indicator. And yeah I know it sucks not knowing what’s going on, it drove me crazy as well. I just had to figure out ways to distract myself so I...

When was your package sent to PEB? Mine was sent late September and I received findings late January. I was found unfit mid-October though. The rest of that time was VA ratings.

    Undiagnosed VA Claims

Yep, you can. Bring up anything and everything. I would recommend seeing your military doc for the issues you don't have diagnoses for at some point though. Just in case the VA says there isn't enough evidence, you can fight it later on and point to those notes.

Unfortunately I have no idea. I'm Navy. The answer is most likely going to be a no though.

Possibility of TAD Orders - Awaiting Findings

It’s 100% dependent on your command unfortunately :(

Yep that’s how they get it. My fit/unfit took about a month. It depends though. Usually not more than 2 months I believe.

You’ll be found unfit. I was just found unfit for same conditions. And yes you’re correct about how they rate it.

Yep you’ll be fine. Ratings will likely take until May. April at the earliest if they speed things up. Which is doubtful haha

The PEBLO’s get updates as to where your case is every few weeks at random intervals. If they tell you that you’re waiting on the VA for ratings, that means you’ve been found unfit. Reach out to them every 3-4 weeks and ask for an update on your status.

Possibility of TAD Orders - Awaiting Findings

Thanks! And no, I'm an officer so I just asked my department head. It was pretty simple, I got an email statement from the XO of the gaining command, which said that they were cool with me going there. Showed that to my department head and I got orders written within a week or two. Since it's no...
