This is a very long story, but I am going to try to give just plain details and see what advice any of you have:
MAR 2014 – I had a catheter ablation on my heart, I had chronic PVC’s.
NOV 2014 – First medically waived Navy PRT
FEB 2015 – MEB/PEB recommended by my cardiologist
APR 2015 – MEB/PEB recommended by my electrophysiologist
MAY 2015 – Second medically waived Navy PRT
JUN 2015 – Second catheter ablation on my heart.
OCT 2015 – MEB/PEB recommended by my cardiologist for a 3rd time
NOV 2015 – Third medically waived Navy PRT
NOV 2015 – LIMDU coordinator at my command sends in NMA
JAN 2016 – CO receives NMA back, it was not written correctly and this was the first time he’s known about it.
FEB 2016 – FINALLY I get a PEBLO
My primary concerns are:
1. My MEB/PEB was not initiated though there were several occurences of it needing to be initiated. The medical person at my command was aware of all of this, but ignored it essentially.
2. My CO was never informed that I had an NMA submitted, therefore it delayed my process another 3 months.
3. For one of my PRT waivers, the HM at my command took it upon himself to take my waiver to the cardiologist office, and have another cardiologist who has never evaluated me change it instead of leaving it to the discretion of the CO as MY cardiologist had told him.
4. Neither the HM nor the LIMDU coordinator helped me find a PEBLO until 3 months after I was supposed to be assigned one, despite me asking for help.
5. According to my IMR, I have been in “MEDBRD” condition since APR 2015. Why am I only now finally getting my MEB/PEB?
My EAOS is July 2016. And it was suggested to me to just waive the MEB, but on top of my cardiology issues, I have mental health ones as well because I experienced a severe personal trauma. I do not want to waive the MEB because I do not believe that is in my best interest. Is there anyone who has any idea what I can do or what I should do given the facts listed above? I just feel so lost.
Thank you so much in advance.
