Camp Lejeune timeline

Still haven’t heard anything regarding my findings. I’m hoping commenting on this post is the good luck I need!

For those of you who are getting retired I would highly suggest looking into CRSC (Combat Related Special Compensation) if you qualify it’s a way to revive your VA payments and a portion of your military retirement. It’s typically used for guys who were injured in combat but it also includes injuries sustained in “simulated combat” or injuries sustained from and “instrument of war.” I calculated mine and it should be an extra 700ish a month on top of my VA pay.

My PEB was accepted on May 1st. It seems like from what I see all over here is that most of the time the service member has to reach out to find out if they are fit/unfit. In your guys' opinion do you think now would be a good time to try and get back with them? I don't want to be the guy that calls and bugs them a lot.
At your stage probs call Jeff at the PEB and see if you can get an update. His numbers been posted here a few times.

Just went in and got my findings didn't sign yet I am going to talk to an attorney first to make sure I understand everything completly. 40% dod PDRL!!

Congrats!

Thank you!! Do you know how long it generally takes to get the new eas?
I was told 7-10 days. It took about a week for my buddy back in March. Don’t know how June 19th will affect it though… Hopefully we all get them soon.

Just curious since I’m losing my mind I started my process in oct 2023 all exams completed on dec 23 and my mol said peb accepted on may 21st already called VA and got proposed ratings of 90% just curious how much longer I should be looking at the letters regarding my Proposal ratings were dated in February

If you're a Marine or Sailor call Jeff at 9 on Monday @ (571) 442-0592.

Did you VA claim close on the tracker? I'm assuming you got the proposals emailed to you from the VA number.

Seems that your process reached the PEB rather slowly, but you'll likely be in the next wave to get their results. Seems most of us were PEB accepted mid April, so I'm sure May's timelines are catching up sooner than later. I recommend posting your timeline so people accepted in May can follow along either in this thread or in its own thread. A majority of us who have been posting here are either waiting to speak to a lawyer or waiting on MMSR-4 to cut us a new EAS date.

My PEBLO went on emergency leave in the middle of the process of me finishing my exams and signing for my case to be sent to PEB, I have been bugging people at the ides office, the VA and trying to get a hold of Jeff but no luck with any real good news I’ve had a few really good job offers but ultimately fell through because I can’t give them a start date I’ve been completely checked out of my command for about 6 months now since I went on skillbridge but I am now back at work for a while with no quals or licenses to do anything so I just sit there look for jobs and make targeted resumes and I’m going crazy with this whole process and trying to figure out my life for after the transition

For your case to have sat from April to May unaccepted I'm almost positive your PEBLO was asleep at the wheel for a month straight before realizing their mistake and sending your package to the PEB. Which is shockingly more common than you know, a couple of users on here have personally messaged me about timelines not adding up and it turned out to be negligence from their PEBLO to simply click a couple buttons.

The VA is done with their work, but the PEB just accepted your case on the 21st and from what I've seen it takes them about 6 days from receiving it to accepting it. I'm almost certain your PEBLO fucked up and instead of taking accountability and telling you this they just forwarded the case. Going on leave for any reason isn't an excuse to "forget" to move cases to someone who can cover down for you.

Apply for VR&E immediately. You're late in the game and it will take effect the semester you want within 6 months of application. Skillbridge is neat and all but VR&E doesn't touch your GI bill and provides directed college counseling & extra college entitlements equal to the P911 GI bill. A counselor will work with you at every step to make sure you get employed in a job that doesn't aggravate your disabilities and you will have money coming in from the housing allowance if you go full time.

Yup my Peblo told me she dropped the ball on my case and my lawyer told me that they dropped the ball hard on my case. I recently heard of the VR&E benefits and it sounds really good I’m going to definitely take advantage of that to pursue my aerospace engineering degree!

This specific PEBLO sounds like she dropped the ball for many people since I've heard about her on multiple occasions. Sorry to hear it but your case is back on track and out of her hands, you'll not hear from her again. Wondering if you're at Pendleton or if there happen to be multiple rotten PEBLOs (which wouldn't shock me either).

Apply! Like... now! It's a 5 minute form and they'll email you a meeting day and link when you're scheduled. Don't wait since you being in IDES *entitles* you to the benefit. You are guaranteed acceptance while you're in this process.

Absolutely right I am on Pendleton! Ima look into the vr&e right away thank you for the advice!

My MSC called me today to handle my outbound stuff. He sent me a dependent form and told me to email him the file, and let me know to upload my DD-214 on the VA website when I got it. Also gonna email him a copy in case something goofs up.
