Hello Veterans, I am an Army O-3 currently in IRR and going through the MEB/PEB process. I have been rated by the VA at 100% for PTSD (combat related) since 2019. I have other ratings as well and receive SMC-K and SMC-S. I have two dependants and a total VA monthly payment of 3886.96. I just signed my NARSUM and have entered the PEB phase. I am unsure what the outcome will be for the DoD rating but I am hoping to get some information to try and determine what my CRSC will be if approved. I spent 9 good years towards retirement in the Army National Guard with one deployment to Afghanistan with active duty time just shy of 1 year.
1. High three: Based on the information given I need some help determining what this is. Unfortunately, I have no idea. Some estimates would be greatly appreciated.
2. DoD disability retirement percentage: I am hopeful for 100% of course since I am rated at 100% for PTSD alone by the VA. I have seen where this is 70% for others rated at 100% for PTSD.
3. Years and months of active duty: 9 years towards retirement in the Army National Guard with one OEF deployment just under a year.
4. VA compensation:
-- percentage: 100%
and
--amount 3886.96
plus
--identify dependents by category and number: spouse with 1 child under 18
---Any SMCs awarded and amount(s) SMC-K in the amount of $103.23; SMC-S is 428.40
5. Approved or expected combat related disability percentage (application was required): Unknown at this time but hoping for 100% approved for CRSC due to 100% VA rating for PTSD (combat related)
6. Do you qualify for another type retirement: No
Thank you in advance for any assistance.
