It is my understanding a reservist retirement pay is calculated based off of points. However, when it comes to a medical retirement and CRSC, does the reservist calculate the retirement pay part of the formula using the point calculation or is the High 36 used regardless?
Example:
I have 22 years in (aprox 4400 points) as a reservist. I am 100% P&T with all injuries (combat included) coming from active orders (i.e. deployments, mobilizations, 30+day training). If I was to be medically retired , how would my "medical retirement" pay be calculated for the CRSC formula? Will it be high 36 or like a traditional reservist (points / 360 * 2.5% = "percentage of base pay")....which is not the same as High 36.
