  • September 2024 - Code 37 applied
  • September 12, 2024 - IRILO initiated.
  • September 30, 2024 - Notified moving to a MEB, PCM finished NARSUM.
  • September 30, 2024 - PEBLO assigned/met with PEBLO, signed NARSUM.
  • September 31, 2024 - Commander's Statement. Do not retain.
  • Delay(wasn't told anything, probably should have asked for an update)(I'm assuming maybe mental health wanted to see if my MH conditions got better)
  • November 25, 2024 - MEB sent to AFPC.
  • December 20, 2024 - Full MEB/PEB directed by AFPC.
  • January 6, 2025 - First meeting with VA MSC, filled out VA form 21-526EZ
  • January 20, 2025 - General/Separation Health Assessment (SHA) C&P Exam.
  • January 23, 2025 - Ear Condition C&P Exam.
  • January 28, 2025 - Eye C&P Exam.
  • February 4, 2025 - Mental Health C&P Exam.
  • February 11, 2025 - PEBLO received all exams
  • February 12, 2025 -Signed AF IMT form 618, MEB sent to IPEB for unfit/fit and rating/s.
  • ******* - IPEB found unfit, sent to VA
  • ******* - VA Claim Closed
  • ******* - IPEB Findings Received. ***% DOD / ***% VA. AF Form 1180 Signed.
  • ******* - Final out/DOS

Referred initially for "pain during the period after surgery"(cyst removal on the back of my crown), have pain radiating from crown down my neck to my right shoulder blade(VA diagnosed with "Chronic radiating scalp pain s/p EIC excision" for referred conditions and , "muscle strain of right upper arm, no right shoulder condition", "Other headache syndrome", "Visual snow syndrome"). VA also diagnosed me with "Diffuse traumatic brain injury without loss of consciousness"(was next to an electrical arc fault explosion a month after my surgery), there are way more things they diagnosed me with but the list is gonna be too long lol. But hopefully I get my fit/unfit from IPEB within the next few weeks and proposed VA rating soon after, another person in my squadron apparently waited 5 months from when his exams were sent to IPEB and his ratings so hopefully that's not the case for me.

I am about a week ahead of you, so i'll be following your timeline!

Didn't check my gov email till now but also got the first email from my ffs 13FEB

I have a super similar timeline to you guys, I'll follow this thread too.
Mine is the CAFB Timeline if you want to follow. Just waiting on percentages, my case was put into DRAS (Disability Rating Assignment system) on the 10th, from what I've seen if you are in DRAS you are unofficially elected "unfit", and they are waiting on ratings from the VA.

That's really good to know. I'm always looking for those hints that the admin side has moved forward. I'll post my timeline in a separate thread so you guys can see it too+dxs

yeah, looks like you are almost exactly a week behind me, we should be receiving our % around the same time.
Did you get your first myFSS email on the 6th or the 7th of February? I received mine on 7 February and still have yet to hear anything back. When I call the VA, they say that they haven't heard anything from the IPEB.

Did any of you have an expedite memorandum pushed up with your case? It's interesting how some cases are processed faster than others, even without an expedite memo or additions being made to the packages.

Not that I'm aware of I'm sure it's only used for special cases(probably like loss of a limb or something)

They do it for other reasons such as having a DOS or DEROS within 6 months. With an expedite memorandum, the timeline shortens quite a bit. Although, I've seen on here that some people get lucky and have their cases pushed through pretty fast without the memorandum while others have to be med hold.

i got it on the 7th, the VA is taking anywhere from 55-65 days to get ratigs back right now.

I just looked on the VA.gov website and it says 5 of 5 claim closed, "BEL". I'm assuming they have the estimated % and that's getting sent to AFPC.

I would take that as progress! Usually you can’t see anything on an IDES claim until after it closes. I checked the VA website and app, but don’t see anything for my case. Luckily, I managed to snag a VERA appointment today to check my status. Hopefully my timeline matches the same as yours.

Also, maybe you could make a VERA appointment and check your percentages. I’ve heard they’re a lot better than trying to call the 1-800 number to get your BEL emailed.

ill have to do that, my PEBLO is on leave or something, I'm waiting anyways so I'm not rushing.

I’m not in that big of a rush either, just waiting to take a peak at my ratings so that I know if I want to file for the one time VA reconsideration or not. Hopefully you’ll find out more news soon!

I am hoping, my meb is due to a chronic disease so I don't see myself getting a "low" rating. It only gets worse with age so id assume it will be permanent retirement.

The good news is that you should find out here soon. I also have two chronic decisions so I’m hopeful that everything will play out well.

With your claim being closed, Definitely schedule a call with VERA. You can most likely schedule a call for sometime tomorrow. They should be able to give you more information. I had my call today and they told me that my VA claim is “ready for decision” since 21 February. Before then, I was told that it was “awaiting decision”. I’m not too sure if they’re the same thing, but the recent update makes me hopeful.
